He'll be doing well if it is - by my reckoning, that would be just under 3 points more than Hansen will be at that time ;-)
-
Excellent, get him over here, get a real time average and we will have him in 2016... Cheers then! ;-)
-
Disasterous.
-
Unfortunately he would be - he's tagged himself as a closet Rebel fan.
-
You've done well in the debate recently, so don't start going all Starman on us. As it's quite clear that the assessed average is still up for debate, it's not unreasonable to think the BSPA had changed their minds and informed the Rebels (and Berwick) that Holder went from being a 5.00, to a 7.00 at the AGM, back to being a 5.00 and then as it currently stands a 7.00. Let's face it - it's not the first time the BSPA have said one thing and then done another and got things completely wrong, especially when it comes to averages! As for your second comment, Jack Holder has stated he is no longer a Rebel which would imply that Somerset are replacing him with someone else to come within the 42.50 points limit.
-
A few of us actually commented at times that he spent more time looking behind him, than looking forward! There's a picture of Doyley doing that somewhere before. I remember him once being interviewed after team riding Stephan Katt round for a 5-1 saying just how difficult it was to go that slow!
-
There's a brilliant video of Tommy Allen and Tai Woffinden on YouTube somewhere too. Jason Doyle became the master of team riding at Somerset and more lately we've had Brady Kurtz who is brilliant at it too. Ben Barker is probably one of the best in recent years in the PL too.
-
Nope - only Holder's tweet to go by so far.
-
Ryan Douglas another case where it has been allowed to happen too.
-
So would I be, but doesn't make me any good ;-)
-
In fairness, that isn't quite how this version of events took place but that's irrelevant - there is no debating Holder is a 7.00 now. Somerset were told he was a 5.00. Rob Godfrey has alot to answer to on Ryan Douglas being over here this year, but that's another story for another day, and another thread also.
-
He didn't ask a question - he made a statement. "Ask the BSPA". BSPA told Somerset he was a 5.00 before backtracking to say he was a 7.00. Completely wrong to tell Somerset he was a 5.00 in the first place, but the rules must eventually be adhered to.
-
Was my response a good enough reason for you Starman, or did you fail to understand that too?
-
Are you capable of having a debate without personal insults?
-
I can. Because that's the rules that have been set by the border agency which the BSPA must adhere to. Not every Aussie that comes over here is upto scratch like Brady Kurtz for example. For every Kurtz there is a Joey Ringwood who frankly just doesn't cut it. Why would they want people like him over him taking a Brit's team position? If you want a new Aussie, be prepared to have to take a gamble on them.
-
That could well of been his biggest downfall.
-
He does know - and has already acknowledged that Holder is a 7.00
-
Bunyan used to be good back in the IOW/Stokes days, but is garbage at the OTA nowadays. A 5 point European has every potential to go on and become a World beater as they are relatively unknown - with riders like Wilson and Bunyan you know you are going to get very little. They share the same view point as Garry May, myself and just about every one else that Holder should be a 7.00... I ask the question again, which part are you not understanding? You appear to be the only one that can't grasp it at the moment.
-
Garry May has acknowledged in the Speedway Star that Jack Holder is a 7.00 average - which part of that do you not understand?
-
I've just trawled through about 3 or 4 pages of Starman asking questions about the rules and he must of had about 4 or 5 tell him that the rules state all Aussies now come in on a 7.00 average - but he is so inept he can't grasp it. As you say there is not one Somerset debating or kicking up that Holder should be a 7.00 (according to the rulebook) and we must now adapt our team to that ruling that has been made. It's as simple as that. Take note Starman. There has been plenty since the team was announced - none of which agrees with your view point.
-
Ben Wilson, Andre Compton, Jason Bunyan Lol - this is Somerset we are talking about and I will eat my hat if we sign any of those. It will 99.9% be a foreigner on an assessed 5.00 average from Europe. Haters some of them maybe, but Somerset having to shed 2 points to fit into the points limit is absolutely right here and not some conspiracy theory.
-
Regardless of his average, I think we'd be crazy to let him go.
-
Which is why, regardless of a 5.00 or 7.00 average I think we would be mad to let him go.
-
The BSPA site doesn't show any averages next to the riders names.

Care to reveal which team and/or riders?
