  1. What's now then you likely get someone like Nicolai Klindt come out after every race and mess about with his starting gate in the next couple of heats - what's the referee going to do then, exclude him 2 heats in advance?
  2. It was the actions throughout last season and before that, that has caused the problems.
  3. Correct, so instead of joining Kings Lynn on a 3.00 he ended up replacing Grant Tregoning at Newport on a 5.00.
  4. That's brilliant news that things have progressed - But why did one promotion still try and appeal against a work permit being turned down, when as you say, things are in black and white after attending the 'workshop'?
  5. That's the problem though, it's NOT black and white as you say - hence why two (potentially three if you want to include Nelson into that before the workshop) have already had their visas turned down that we know about for sure since the workshop took place.
  6. The under 21 Champs is irrelevant - the PL doesn't run at U21 level and therefore any age restricted competition has no bearing on the PL's requirements. Like I said before, it comes as no coindence that Somerset waited weeks and weeks until the State Championships were over before dropping Holder when it became clear he didn't qualify for a work permit at the moment. The whole average scenario, especially concerning Brady, has nothing to do with this debate though. We're debating Holder and Davies. There is no opinion to have, you either chose to read the facts or you chose to ignore them. For what it's worth in reference to your last point, there has been more than one occasion where I have not always agreed with my team, and plenty of times that I have.
  7. And that is relevant because? Failure to have a debate is normally down to failing to have any understanding of the points being made. Brady Kurtz doesn't require a work permit either - just another little bit of info for you there James Holder could be a 3.00 average for all I care, he doesn't meet the criteria which Somerset hoped he would when he was signed only to fail in the State Championships - but again, don't let that get in the way of your pointless arguement.
  8. Hardly - our team was confirmed in plenty of good time. If we didn't want him then that's tough luck. We went on to nearly win the league without him so that decision was justified as it turns out. No team is any obligation to have to sign anybody. I really like Alex as a rider, especially around the Oak Tree - but he didn't cut it away from home. The failings lie at Plymouths door here - agreeing to sign an Aussie when they don't even have the relevant license to sign work permit riders. Oh dear.
  9. Precisely that - although like I've said elsewhere I think he was moved along also when it became apparent around Christmas time he didn't get the results he needed in the State Chanpionships leading upto it and had to be dropped as he doesn't meet the requirements for a work permit. Plymouth have decided he does though
  10. The wording says "previous season" - neither Smith or Davies have an average from the previous season, which was 2014.
  11. Proctor qualifies for his work permit by reaching the required average in the EL. Poole average never once reached 7.00 throughout the season and should be told no.
  12. Well that's made 'Doners' look abit silly. Thanks for the info IDH.
  13. Oh look, an Aussie blocked and all of a sudden a British riders gets a job!
  14. He did, so his average is irrelevant in this case.
  15. The question is though does he meet the criteria for a work permit? The answer is yes he does.
  16. Proctor is okay as he achieved over the required 4.00 in the EL last year. Also the page on the BSPA site doesn't say the state championship is only for first years. Therefore Heeps and Douglas are okay too.
  17. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=78462&page=24 Got no idea how Doyle got round the situation last year, but the difference it seems with Fisher and everyone else is that at least everyone else had applied for theirs only to be told to reapply. Fisher just hadn't bother to apply for one full stop.
  18. Fisher as has been quoted by the Plymouth promotion didn't apply for his visa correctly before he left the country last year - and apparently like Sam Masters, Alex Davies and Mason Campton had to the other year he now won't be able to enter the country for a 12 month 'cooling off period'. Think this was posted on the Plymouth thread or somewhere on here. He's a new application correct - which doesn't meet the criteria.
  19. Didn't stop Paul Starke last year :-)
  20. Alot on that list will be okay, but you've missed off Jack Holder, Kozza Smith, Alex Davies and Ryan Fisher.
  21. Just because Louis says so, doesn't mean he qualifies at all. Workington obviously still felt that Campton qualified hence them appealing the original decision for his work permit to be turned down. They clearly learnt nothing from the whole exercise and as per normal self interest takes over. http://www.speedwaygb.co/gbe This clearly states "current National champion"
  22. Alan Jones has beaten me to it, but he rightly says that it needs to be the previous season.
  23. Effectively yes. There is plenty others than can be named too I expect. Any Aussie that came over on a 5.00 for starters.
  24. Sedgmen also qualifies via the State Championships too. No it doesn't.
