What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.
Najjer replied to doners1234's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
How to completely miss the point in 2 paragraphs No one is against Australians riding over here, matter of fact I think 99.9% of people think it's a great idea - if they are good enough and not some dud like we have seen in the past. Using the National League to make them better is an absolute non starter. -

That's the whole point - if they don't qualify then stay home and get better so they are good enough to qualify. Not come over, get better in our leagues and then carry on into Europe after using us as a training base. -
Because his state championship fell after somerset previously signed him - at which point he then failed to get in the top 4. So, another rule which Plymouth don't understand and think they can use a guest when it says only rider replacement can be used?
-
I can post a link to the previous criteria which has stood since at least 2009 - which as I've said all along Jack Holder and others don't qualify under that criteria. So, I've answered your question, how about you answering mine - how does Jack Holder qualify for a work permit now, when he failed previously?
-
Again, another post and statement made without anything to back up your claim. We'll have to start calling you Starman before too long. Just because you say so, or the promoter says so, we have to believe you with no explanation as to why. Exactly.

What about Campton and Poole? Ohhh....
-
Couldn't of worded it better myself, absolutely spot on.
-
So what you're saying is "he meets the criteria because they say he does" with no actual reason... Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the same thing they've been making a mess of for the past God knows how many seasons.
-
That doesn't answer anything. It does also prove what rubbish you've been spouting for the past couple weeks in that Plymouth were given their license weeks ago, when as this report says, they are only just about to recieve it.
-
I've never tried to defend Somerset in any of this instances, and is also very irrelevant in this instance. Lewy on the other hand claimed Plymouth did have the license to sign Davies last year, and now claims they didn't and only recieved it a few weeks ago - so which is it?

Neil Middleditch. -
Ah so you're finally admitting that Plymouth tried to sign Alex Davies last season in the full knowledge they didn't have the required license? Better late than never. There is no two ways about it, he didn't finish in the top 4 in the State Championship, regardless of what he scored in the heats. They seem to make it up as they go along at Plymouth, so it wouldn't surprise me if they think this is allowed too.

Mason Campton. -
How daft do they look now after being so quick to jump on Somerset's case with regards to rules.
-
Todd Kurtz doesn't require a visa.
-
All visas were revoked and every rider has had to, or will have to, reapply for them. This includes all riders who had a multi year work permit too - Troy Batchelor has already confirmed he had a multi year work permit but needs to reapply.
-
And rightfully it looks he's been told to enter them next year, to come back to British Speedway in 2016.
-
The fact that every club had their license removed to sponsor work permit riders, indicates that there was/is issues

Right now Taylor Poole isn't good enough - he's had 4 (?) seasons over here and failed to reach 7.00 in any of them. -
I think you're clutching at straws here....

To think one of the promotors said we were on a "crusade" too - I like to think of it as more of an understanding, than a crusade. I look forward to seeing Taylor Poole back in 2016 when he meets the requirements needed. -
How's your P & P looking? Are all 4 of your team going to be there?
-
Absolutely.
-
As Drew says, we have never had the actual 'practice' part during the daytime.

You obviously seen him alot more than I did last season, but I think it was the first time you lot came to visit the OTA last year - Garrity's performance that night must go down as one of the worst performances at our place all season.
