  1. Absolutely - and I've just used Brady as an example in this instance, and haven't intended to single him out, he was just the one who got interviewed. I was meaning it more as a generalisation. Absolutely - and I've just used Brady as an example in this instance, and haven't intended to single him out, he was just the one who got interviewed. I was meaning it more as a generalisation. Still Ez - whose on a bit of a hiding to nothing really. It was quite hot and windy the previous week and it got dusty pretty quickly, so yesterday was heavily watered to try and solve the dust issue I presume - after a few heats though with the strong wind it was dusty again.
  2. The track is the same for everyone, and as long as it's safe and throws up great entertainment, which it does, there should be no complaints. Josh Grajczonek was flying, exactly where he left off the previous week.
  3. Compton is not only off the pace on the first bend as you say, but he's off the pace on the second, third and fourth bends too. I think even Henning Loof scored more points for us. All this nonsense about the track is exactly that - nonsense. Covatti has never seen the place before and he turns up and rides it like a dream, so that cannot be an excuse for having the "incorrect set up".
  4. Completely different now though - you've got Danny King for starters, Nielsen at reserve who was always pretty handy around the OTA during his short spell with us (he got dropped because of his away form) and also Heeps who rode really well here last year, when he was in poor form elsewhere so I expect him to score a fair few later too. As I've previously mentioned too, no Starke either.
  5. I expect Nielsen to score a fair few down at reserve, especially with us missing Starke. Tungate has been rubbish here previously, so more of the same tonight would do just nicely. I'll go for Somerset by 8.
  6. ... and Kennett. All three of which are welcome additions to the PL.
  7. We could do with a new number 7... Or just a number 7 come to think of it as we haven't had one yet this season!
  8. You seem to have missed one of the main reasons you've started winning is your guest at number 1 is scoring big points - replace him with a 7 pointer and expect that to change.
  9. Not sure how many that ranks to in terms of numbers, but the first car park was full - so pretty decent. Plymouth meeting made it into the second but being fairly local that is usually the case. With regards the meeting i thoroughully enjoyed that, and as has been said, the scoreline probably doesn't do the meeting justice as Rye were very good value - especially Jakobson and Aspegren who both deserved much more than their scores suggest. Aspegren's ride around the fence was stunning to win heat 8. For the Rebels Lanham continues to prove an inspired signing, and Brady and Josh were once again masterful. Track was surprisingly dry given how much water was put down and dusty, but the racing and action was second to none!
  10. Because that would confirm what we all already know - that he has little to no understanding of current rules.
  11. So in reality, judging by the summary, every Rebel struggled or wasn't comfortable?
  12. Well that hasn't gone to plan - no idea why we are so awful at Ipswich every time we go there.
  13. Mellgren, and Aspegren especially, are normally very good here. Aspegren is usually superb round the fence and in the mix. Boxall has been garbage whenever he's been here since his short stop as a Rebel before.
  14. Has he been released yet? I don't think he'll serve his full sentence.
  15. With Lanham and Worrall in our side, we should do a lot better than we have done previously in the last few years - although I'm not convinced it will be enough. A point would be a brilliant result for us.
  16. I'm sure his 'work commitments' will be resolved all of a sudden and he will soon make himself available to Somerset again...
  17. You'll be pleased, now the Waspels have added Leigh Lanham to their ranks.
  18. I think the score card more than done Plymouth justice, who were pretty poor. Risager mixed it a couple of times and Simota looked half decent when he got out the gate, but Holder and Fisher both looked very uncomfortable and poor at best. Nielsen was poor as expected and Chapman as predicted before the season began is nowhere near premier league standard. A more than convincing win for the Rebels, with as you quite rightly say the top 4 firing on all cyclinders, and both Starke and Lanham chipping in with valuable points.
  19. Rusty Harrison is traditionally rubbish at the Oak Tree, although new season, first few meetings, anything can happen so nothing like changing a habit of a lifetime. Rebels should win and should win comfortably with Starke filling his boots at reserve.
  20. Yes still on, as far as I'm aware It's been a pretty miserable day but hasn't rained since the morning now.
  21. Well I got as far as Dorchester before being able to check my phone, and finding out it was called off. An hour and half trip each way wasted
  22. Cheers mate - I got sucked in to looking at the weather radar on bbc last night and it predicted heavy rain for 8 o'clock to be clear by 10 and beyond... Let's hope that's still the case, or no rain at all!!
