http://www.somersetrebels.co/news.php?extend.1640 Must admit I'm not keen on the white background, as it makes it look abit 'cheap' and basic - A dark blue background would of been much better. As it says in the press release though, I think it's probably a long time overdue and becoming politically correct.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not a lot, as it turns out again.... -
We obviously couldn't match Plymouth's wage budget.
-
And Brent Werner too?
-
Like Plymouth and Roland Benko previously?

Isn't it everywhere? -
Well this is unusual, but I agree with you - very poor from Edinburgh to leave the 3 pointer so late. They'll either end up paying over the odds or some duffer, as they've been backed into a corner somewhat now.

Hang on a minute - The Double Points tactical drove you to bad health? You need to see more than a doctor about that one I would suggest....

Any Takers For The Elite League?

Any Takers For The Elite League?

How has the PL got stronger? There is nowhere near as many out and out number 1 top riders in the league like we had a few years ago that's for sure. -
Predict The Final 2016 Pl Table!?

I would disagree - Berwick/Redcar look set to fight for the wooden spoon, with Scunthorpe just ahead of them. -
Any Takers For The Elite League?

I must admit I was abit disapointted that Somerset didn't for 2016 - I fancied abit of a change and the chance to bring back riders like Jason Doyle etc seems like a massive plus. I believe Somerset to be the best race track in the Country and having the best riders in the best league in this country I think would only enhance it and provide great entertainment. Whether it is financially viable is a question I couldn't answer as I have no idea on the cost implications and money available, just a selfish wish of my own more than anything else. I too like many others thought we were heading towards 1 big league for 2016, so maybe that'll be on the horizon for 2017 or 2018. Why not? I think that would be the best thing possible for the EL, to offer a job sharing position for the No.1 role. -
They could of signed both of them and then signed an 8 pointer instead of Riss. They've chose not too, so don't go playing the hard done by card.

In this instance of SCB vs. Starman, I'm just hoping Starman isn't representing the PL!
-
I obviously missed it happening and the reasons why - but why did Jonathon Chapman part company with Kings Lynn/speedway?

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Turn the floodlights on then? What about the negative side of things and obscuring certain viewing areas towards the track? -
Looks a decent side - but there is too many injury prone riders so I'm not sure I can see it lasting long.
-
I think that's it in a nutshell - Although Starman still doesn't get it....

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Najjer replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Like you say, it could actually be done for not a massive cost at all - but begs the question why would you want to? I'm not sure what it's supposed to add, other than additional lighting. -
Interesting that they've used Somerset as the example, to explain the last point - Any reason for this? All seems to make sense though.
-
Abit of a joke, the majority of the racing at Somerset this year was out of this world and much improved again on previous seasons.
-
TBH, Worral was never going to sign for Somerset or Edinburgh once he signed for Belle Vue in the EL.

This is like a Somerset select side. All previous Somerset riders.... -
Peterborough have shown their inexperience here by signing their team as they go along, without a real plan in place of who is wanted and who isn't.
