  1. I also think the BSN have done a good job reporting on it and making abit of a story about that. You get nothing of the sorts from the BSPL site and the speedway star.
  2. Poland - GB gave up their Thursday priority for rearranged matches as part of a deal to allow more riders from the Polish leagues to ride over here.
  3. Precisely the reason I’ve said many times that guests shouldn’t be allowed unless there is 2 or more riders missing. Wolves should either have to sign somebody or use RR
  4. If you believe Grudziadz have put a stop to Pedersen riding here, then I think you are very mistaken on this one. —————— Good to see Peterborough finally make a statement - but begs the question why it’s taken over a week to confirm what most already knew. What an absolute PR disaster - at a time when they say they need support more than ever. They have recognised their shortcomings in communication but I’d bet they do little to nothing to actually combat that in the next few months.
  5. Do you really think he’s been bullied into it? If Grudziadz didn’t want him to ride in the UK then he wouldn’t have even started over here.
  6. Masters over 10 Wolves -6 Douglas over Wright is a tempter too
  7. Such an enigma. Wobbled round for a few rides before winning his last programmed ride from absolutely nowhere at a canter… before running stone last again in heat 14. He’s a very complicated rider/person, that’s for sure but there is still potential there to be half decent.
  8. Grudziadz under the lights continues to be one of the most under rated tracks in Poland too - always a cracking atmosphere and decent racing too. Similar to Lublin in many ways.
  9. He also scored 11 points (including an exclusion for two warnings in his last ride) in Poland today. Ryan Douglas top scored for the same Rawicz team with a 5 ride maximum too.
  10. Hoping to be back by end of April but that seems a little ambitious. Already been ruled out of Ostrow’s next two matches
  11. Yes there would be a ban - Nicki would be deemed to be withholding his services and get a 28 day ban along with a 28 day facility granted to Peterborough. With regards your second point, this is what pi$$es me off so much with British speedway promotions. Everybody is well aware Nicki has left yet you hear nothing from the club who treat their supporters like muppets. Almost straight away they should have come out and said “Nicki has left and we are working on our options” instead of the silent treatment which makes the whole situation worse. It will be embarrassing tomorrow and have such a worse effect when he isn’t there, especially after banging in 18 points last night in Poland. I try not to compare football to speedway but there is no way this sort of situation goes on. You only have to look at the recent scenarios with Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester with their managers. All 3 confirmed a departure right away and said they would be working on replacements and will update in due course. Communication with your fan base is so important nowadays.
  12. It just shows what a shame it is with Pedersen doing the U-turn with Peterborough. Anybody who said he was finished was absolutely wrong.
  13. Anyone who thinks Kildemand is the answer is completely wrong.
  14. Kasprzak in the Polish press saying that his slow and poor start to the season has been influenced by the cold weather - better start hoping a heatwave is on the way!
  15. It may of been mentioned and then ignored until there was a crash and the white line then moved - that may have something to do with Pedersen taking his toys home and not playing anymore.
  16. I think there is more to it than he crashed and thought that is enough. It’s well rumoured he wasn’t happy with track prep at that meeting which then resulted in the white line being moved. Maybe he has thought he isn’t riding on sub standard tracks every week - which I called on the night of that meeting. Allegedly his bikes are already out of the country and back in Europe… So expect a guest or RR as he is then deemed to be withholding his services and a 28 day facility granted.
  17. Basically, teams abused the rules that were set as they were expecting alot more riders to be missing with covid. ‘Guest riders’ were only allowed to ride for one side and once they had signed up, they couldn’t ride for anybody else. The Poles quickly realised it was a stupid system, the fans hated it and it was dropped after a single year. The only ‘guests’ they still have now is Polish juniors in Division 2 to enhance their own talent and juniors - something similar to another poster suggested earlier in the thread when reserves are missing over here.
  18. I’m not sure it’s Grudziadz who are pulling the strings here - I think the rider himself may of seen enough on opening night to do half a lap and call it quits!
  19. What an awful poster this is. It’s 2023 and people are still running with the “no brakes no fear, fun for all the family” line. Why not go the whole hog and advertise the opening match of the season with two guests too?
  20. Given how he’s started the season, he would struggle in the championship at the moment. Early days though….
  21. Poland also use rider replacement for when any of their top 3 averaged riders are missing where anybody can then take a RR ride.
  22. He used to be a regular in the second halves at Somerset almost on a weekly basis and used to ride for the Somerset ‘Giants’ second half side many moons ago - so there is certainly a connection there. More so than Lee Complin who is nothing to do with Somerset at all.
