  1. You don't mean Lewy got it all wrong yet again do you? Perish the thought!!
  2. I'm just looking at this list wondering on the earth James Wright ever made it into the Pairs for us! Can't argue with any of that - excellent summary.
  3. From the experience I've had of watching him, you couldn't be any further from the truth. Even last night I can't recall who it is, but I seem to remember him diving up the inside of somebody into turn 3. I also seem to recall reading on the updates he made a few passes when we hammered you last weekend at Peterborough. It turns out he made at least 4! Rounding Craig Cook and passing Ostergaard twice. Nahhhhhh rubbish when he misses the gate!
  4. Not from Somerset fans - he has been simply brilliant for us, especially at the OTA where he is just awesome.
  5. If Howarth rides like he normally does at Somerset, Sheffield at a good shout. If he rides like he does for Wolves, especially on the tele Monday then they aren't a good shout!
  6. Giving Jake extra rides and keeping him in good nick is much more important to us at this stage of the season.
  7. The amount of last places our top 6 have had practically all season, is staggeringly low. I'd be intrigued to know just how many they've actually had.
  8. .... And we're still putting 60 past some teams home and away!
  9. What a staggering result tonight at Plymouth! Even with the poor season Brady seems to be having, to turn them over like that takes some doing. Jake Allen has been great all year but his form seems to have taken an even greater leap over the past few weeks. Great to see. Onto the semi finals of the league cup we go....
  10. Shows how out of touch I've become as I didn't even realise we were riding tonight. Unfortunately I'm already out tonight so won't be in attendance. Fingers crossed it stays dry and the Rebels win big.
  11. It'll be ridiculous if Cook and Kurtz are blocked from riding. I understand wanting to avoid the situation where Craig Watson made his debut for Glasgow in the pairs, but Kurtz and Cook have been signed to their teams for weeks now, regardless of how many meetings they've ridden in.
  12. They went on to ride for them in PL after that too.
  13. If I become a speedway rider tomorrow, and then retire on Saturday... Can I get in free every week then too?
  14. Does beg the question why this isn't always the case then....
  15. The same Charlie Gjedde that was originally in a Plymouth team that was unsustainable? I hope it works out for Brady and he pushes on and the fans turn out for him and the rest of the team.
  16. You are entitled to suspect what you like, but my opinion isn't based on spite. If it was, why would I of wished him well? I think the reason he wasn't at Somerset was a combination of as you say he didn't particularly want the PL originally and also a huge number of fixtures clashes so I'm led to believe.
  17. Care to explain how? I was referring to riding for Somerset, where he didn't reach the heights that he did at the start to mid season form.
  18. Good signing for Plymouth, but shows a complete lack of ambition from Brady to return to the Premier League a few months into the start of the season. I understand he hasn't been massively impressive for Poole and I wonder just how much the Darcy Ward accident is effecting him after his form tailed off at the end of last year too. Hope he manages to turn it round as he promised so much whilst riding for Somerset.
  19. You only have to look at Greaham's picture to see the reason it was called off was because we got 10 points ahead! It was always going to happen once it started spitting (not torrential rain), Plymouth had nothing to race for and nothing to lose other than riders to injury and Somerset needed to win by 10 points. So everybody wins.... Except the fans who have travelled from wherever they have, then parted with around £20 each for 10 races and 1 procession.
  20. If that's correct, that makes the earlier posts about fans losing out even sadder. This is just another reason why the sport is in the mess it's in. That said Barker and Kurtz clearly weren't interested in carrying on, whilst Jack Holder and Stefan Nielsen were obviously revelling in the conditions.
