  1. Like you say, turning up and having half decent equipment is always the biggest problem with Boxall.
  2. Eklof? Aspgren? Monberg? Aspegren? Porsing? Come to think of it I think I would prefer James Wright to Boxall! Likewise Compton too. I can't imagine Brady came cheap so there must be some money available.
  3. I can think of plenty. Not to mention surely a new Danish or Swedish rider would of been much better than Boxall seen as the play offs seem unlikely now.
  4. I didn't insinuate anything of the sort. Just that Boxall is a very poor signing.
  5. .... And the run continues! Get on you Rebels! Fantastic result and another fantastic score from Rohan. What a signing he has turned out to be from Ipswich!
  6. Many thanks for beating me to that post - which I now notice he's edited it after realising his error! I think signing me would of been a better signing than Boxall!
  7. Boxall in for Kurtz? Have you lost your marbles down in Plymouth?
  8. Jordan Frampton clearing the 1st bend fence after a tangle with Cory Gathercole at Somerset has to be a worthy mention. Literally took up and ended up on the concrete in front of the club house patio. Got back up, wheeled his bike through the crowd back to the pits and went and scored a maximum for Rye House that night against us.
  9. Berwick were much better than their score suggests. Up until the last 4 races or so they were hanging on in there but just crumbled like a soggy custard cream. Jorgensen went awol after starting well, the Pole was pretty useless whilst Gappmaier impressed riding around the air bags. For Somerset, Starke, Wright and Tungate especially were superb. Tungate just looks invincible around the OTA. Allen and Wilson-Dean both seem so down on power tonight, and concerning this has been a problem for Wilsom-Dean for a number of weeks now. Hopefully he can get back to the speed he was showing just over a month or so ago.
  10. Should be a big home win, and losing Matt Wethers who always rides well at the OTA will only make the job harder for Berwick.
  11. Making another mockery of the asset system.
  12. Cut offs, who qualifies and who doesn't, just let teams pick whoever they want within their 7 riders.
  13. Another ridiculous and over complicated process in speedway rules - why not just let teams choose the 5 riders that they wish and have done with it?
  14. I had heard the complete opposite - that his kit is immaculate, as for 3 and 3/4 laps he is usually right on the pace but he almost looks afraid in the first turn. We were saying the other week, he reminds us of Tom Perry when he first rode for us. I was expecting him to average 4 at least though. I'm not sure he's even averaging 2.00?
  15. Pretty much exactly what Buttons has said already. If it was an original fixture in the calender then Rohan and Charles would be riding for Somerset and Josh for Swindon - but he's been advertised as rising for us on our website.
  16. Be interesting to know what Lakeside's take on all this is....
  17. I believe Starke's fall when well clear in heat 14 was a mechanical failure as oppose to rider error.
  18. Why are you so bothered? This is where the BSPA should just be able to make some sort of logical (Lol) judgement. Tobias Busch top scored for Redcae this past week and has been signed for them for what must be nearly 4 weeks too - so why shouldn't he be allowed to ride if Redcar want him too?
  19. You're right about Lambert - after two very subdued opening rides, anyone would of thought he swapped bikes with Matej Kus as Lambert was then massively quick. A mile back to then reel in Josh in one race and blast round the outside of him and inches behind him for 4 laps in heat 13. Very very quick when he got out the gate too, very impressive stuff. Enjoy him whilst we can at Premier League level. It's not going to happen often Starke scores 2 points at home, especially in the same week he scores a maximum in the Elite league! Going forward from here though we still look a very solid outfit with Wilson Dean likely to go back to reserve for next month. Jake Allen has developed into a right proper racer and entertainer. He has to go down as one of the signings of the season, never knows when to give up. How he stayed on the bike in heat 15 is beyond me! Hopefully Starkey and Josh's bike problems aren't too costly but I fear they will be! Overall, a very entertaining meeting with two very good sides... And we are still unbeaten since April 3rd!!
  20. Which like I said, is an absolute joke if that's the case. Regardless of how many meetings they have or haven't ridden, people like Kurtz and Cook have been in their new sides for a while now, so it'll be even more of a mockery than the pairs if team's top riders are refused entry.
  21. This has the makings of being a great meeting, just a shame Worrall isn't riding now. Personally looking forward to seeing Lambert around Somerset for the first time too. I think Kus and Lindgren have both had good meetings and duff ones too at the OTA, so is Lewis Rose comes to the party at reserve it could be close. Somerset by 10 I reckon.
  22. Other than Kus and any injured rider, it will be an absolute joke if any of those riders are missing because they don't 'qualify'.
  23. Didn't their own promoter even get quoted in the press last week saying how poor their own forum is?
  24. Nope, no gloss being taken off here - it was still sweet to see our riders beat everyone else in the fashion that they did it too. Long may that continue.
