Think I'd rather take Batchelor given a choice of him or Gomolski.
-
I'd agree with that - that's exactly what I would want to do! Plus, we're talking about some 4 years ago now, so time to let it go I think!
-
Yes we did - as Cliff has said, when he came back from injury we chose to keep on his injury replacement Jesper Monberg and Claus Vissing instead of him. So we released him. Can you blame him for wanting to get one over on us after we dumped him? As has been said, I think he's matured an awful lot since then anyway and really started to realise his potential that he shown in his first and second seasons for us.
-
I disagree.
-
That's a team I've got a lot of time for! How realistic is it, I'm not too sure. It hasn't been confirmed or denied that Josh isn't coming back has it? Admittedly it looks unlikely but stranger things have happened. With regards Masters, do you just mean that you boo him? Let's not forget that it was Somerset who sacked him when he was riding for us. I think the only person I can remember getting booed as an opposing rider is Ben Barker! Yep - for the exact reason you've just said. Far too injury prone and was pretty painful to watch last season on the tele.
-
I hope not....
-
I did wonder that myself - couldn't of got much further from that!
-
He hasn't exactly hid the fact in the past he hates the 7 hour journey on a Friday to Somerset... and to be fair, you can't blame him really!
-
At least you aren't still bitter about that 4 years later... JeeeeeeZ!!
-
Think you will have 1 right, 2 at a push. I wouldn't object to either Masters or Hougaard though. Nobody in their right mind would go anywhere near Holder, as his average will drop massively before returning to Poole next year.
-
I think you will be pleasently surprised then....
-
Having two strong reserves is almost pointless, as we proved last season. You only need 1 strong reserve so he can take 5 rides and more top end power. Sadly I think Wilson-Dean is going to miss out, so we can bring in a proper no.1 alongside Tungate and Grajczonek.
-
Not sure on his average exactly, think it's around 5.50 but Josh Bates could be a cracking addition to this side.
-
It's a good job you aren't a team manager then isn't it? A team that wins the League will average much higher than the team at the bottom of the league. Signing a rider with an average over 12.00 can only lose value whereas a rider below that can potentially gain value. If you build a team upto a 50.00 average and everyone was to improve on their average, I'd say you have a good shout at winning the league!
-
And no way would we want him. It seems absolutely pointless to sign any rider over a 12.00 average as they are only going to drop that average. Grajczonek, Tungate, Starke, Wright and Allen have to be nailed on, Plus two more.
-
That's the nail hit on the head - when Glasgow won the league a few seasons back before the play offs wasn't the league all but over by August?
-
I wouldn't argue with that - He'd be my rider of the season no doubts about it.
-
If only my auntie had balls, she'd be my uncle. You could say that about any top rider heading into the play offs.

They're a funny breed down Plymouth. He was half right though as Plymouth is a fantastic little track and much like Newport used to be for me, a great track to visit as an away supporter and I just hope they don't go the same way Newport did. Another great win for the Rebels, Tungate is literally on fireeeee!
-
Peterborough seem to have destroyed him. He was brilliant for Rye when I saw him last year but has completely lost it this year.

Glasgow Vs Somerset Pl 21/08/16

No it isn't a 40 point swing at all. If for arguements sake, we were to assume young Zak would of scored 0 instead of Bewley's 13 then it isn't just a case of knocking 13 off Somerset's score and adding 13 to Glasgow's. As an example, in heat 2 Wilson-Dean would of then scored 1 point instead of 0. In heat 4 Tungate would then of scored 2 points instead of 1 and so on. It always amazes me how many people always get this wrong in Speedway when trying to recalculate scores!! -

If someone is led injured on the track and someone else approaches him, I'm not sure how an attempted assault can take place. He either assaulted him or he didn't. If he tried to and failed... It wasn't much of an assault was it?! -

I wasn't there either - so what did Paul do when Ryan was down on the track? -
Surely you're on a wind up here?
