  1. Interesting article on Peter Kildemand: http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5519/pk-rules-stopped-somerset-move
  2. 100% agree. Somerset's prices have gone up again this year, which is understandable in the sense that we've gone up a league - but probably underlines how overpriced the original Premier League has been for quite some years across the whole league.
  3. I'd fancy us to turn them over to be fair. Come to think of it, I think both us and Leicester could turn Swindon over too!
  4. ... and rule 3 too, meaning we have priority.
  5. 2 weeks before our first meeting - one would assume there is going to be a challenge match inserted in the gap?
  6. Steve I think more often than not you usually post some quite good stuff on here, but these two posts look way off the mark.
  7. I was assuming the two that are listed in a row, will actually be one or the other.
  8. Anyone else noticed that we have Kings Lynn down for two weeks on the trot potentially at home? I'm assuming the home fixtures against Coventry is also a mistake as two of the later dates should say provisional, based on the outcome of today's doings at Coventry. Looks like we've managed to do quite a few home/away ties against the same club within a few days. It's a shame they don't bring back the bonus point over 2 legs aswell as the new points scoring so there is an aggregate score to race for aswell.
  9. He isn't out of work. He has a job at Glasgow.
  10. Other than the cost of shale and lighting - what else about the stadium is not fit for purpose?
  11. Because you haven't just done that on this thread now have you when someone has debated with you, and you've called them a clown? You are the biggest hypocrite on this forum. Some very good memories in there ER and sadly I wasn't there for all of them. I think like Sugarray has said, the team was completely wrote off at the start of the year and to watch them progress like they did as a unit was unbelievable. I think we might get hammered at times this season but it seems right to keep the riders we have. Watching Jake Allen and Rohan Tungate were for me the highlights. Tungate's progression into a genuine no.1 home and away was brilliant.
  12. Not really - The liklihood is he's riding something that's all abit makeshift so it is what it is. No concerns here.
  13. Or just fighting Starman - Although I think that goes for nearly every team in the Country!
  14. Are you really that thick? By saying 'it's new so should ride better' would mean that if Klindt could pass wind then anybody can pass at Belle Vue, but he can't - you are actually making points to disagree with yourself! What has Somerset got to do with it? The racing st Somerset has probably be better than ever in the last couple of seasons. Not sure I can recall Klindt doing much passing there either!
  15. You really are something else - it's no wonder you must be one of the most unpopular posters on this forum. The previous poster was obviously posting about Belle Vue because it is one of the best race tracks in the country, but you have failed to grasp that!
  16. I think the saying "clear as mud" is more apt with regards the polish ruling.
  17. Gary has already confirmed we had a deal agreed with Kildemand before Poland intervened - so bang goes your myth about not being able to afford the big bucks.
  18. Wright could very much be a match winner within his own right. I'd expect to see him line up at no.2 alongside Tungate so heat 8s will be crucial against another second string. Hougaard needs to be in for a big year though. I don't really know that much about him but he seems to have something going on and a decent style on the bike to boot too!!
  19. Not Kyle Newman - he isn't improving.
  20. Thought we had got rid of him from our thread, but seems to have returned since we've gone up a league.
  21. To be fair, I probably should have said one of the best - because from what I've seen of the Belle Vue track on sky this year it is absolutely superb.
  22. I'm not going to get into this comparing sides and "my team is better than yours" lark, but Allen and Tungate I think are fantastic signings again for Somerset. Allen was a revelation last season and has the potential to really kick on and could end the season with a 7+ average. Not saying that he will, but he could. I'm actually amazed he hasn't landed a spot in the lower league yet, unless it just hasn't been announced or because of visa related issues. Some comments made about Tungate not being a big heat winner when needed - he was however exactly that on many occasions for us. So many times he would fly out the start at home in the big races when he was needed and I can recall from the live updates him winning several big races away. I think once he's got the bit between his teeth he will come good for you. Win, lose or draw when you have the best race track in the country like we do - we are going to be served up some cracking speedway. We have 6 out and out racers for around the OTA who won't ever disapoint in that respect.
  23. He would of - but if what I'm told is correct, he wanted mega money that only Rye would offer him.
