  1. Jesus Christ, after all these years are you still stalking him?
  2. You'd assume it was meant to be British riders, but again it's worded very poorly that it's just anybody who has ridden in or could ride in the NL. Similar scenario for Cameron Heeps at Somerset, by the wording of the ruling he is now our 4th rider to qualify for that rule although he isn't British.
  3. I think you're right, this has the makings of a classic. Score line should be tight and could go either way. With the heavy rain this week should make the track in excellent condition. Harris, Nicholls and Kenneth should all score well tonight aswell.
  4. After the revelation that the averages aren't changing until every team has done their 4H 4A it would seem that Ellis is going to be out the door very soon. BWD came through the National League so him and Zak should qualify as your two 'Brits' who have come through the National League. See the earlier part of my post - Tungate is still on a 9+ average until the averages change.
  5. Lisa Collette is like the female version of Starman.
  6. Absolutely it does in the long term - but catching us on the first meeting might not be a bad thing.
  7. 3 new signings could play into your hands, as none of the riders mentioned are overly familiar with the OTA. Only Lewis Kerr has ridden here so far this season. Not to mention Schlein being a massive improvement on Ricky Wells
  8. I'm far from being Tai's biggest fan, a million miles away in fact - However, how many riders actually do anything that benefits British Speedway? Other than representing us at the World Cup, I can't think of many others that do an awful lot if at all. Maybe the Worrall brothers I've seen that have been mentioned that go to the odd training day but it just seems an easy excuse to bash Woffinden for no reason.
  9. It's a shame again there is no Ricky Wells, but this is the sort of match we wanted to see by going up a league. The big names of Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls, Rory Schlein and Eddie Kennett. Hopefully there are quite a few Rockets fans in attendance, as this should be a close one. From the forecasts I've seen, there is no rain scheduled tomorrow. With the heavy watering we've had over the last couple of days I expect the track will be in tip top condition!
  10. Well if the averages aren't changing until all teams have done 4H 4A..... on a 9+ average??
  11. What a shambles indeed. Why should clubs have to wait until all teams have completed their fixtures? I notice that Lewis Kerr is on his new average achieved from Scunthorpe presumably instead of the one he joined Poole on. We can expect to see Tungate back in for Kerr or Heeps I expect then in June in a bid to try and make the play offs.
  12. So have I missed something or is the Somerset preview wrong for Friday? It shows us on our original starting averages and not with our new 4H 4A averages. This means it shows Grajczonek top of the averages when it should actually be Hougaard if the new averages were in place? That's one of the only criticisms with the Oak Tree Arena - the home straight terracing would be better if it a lot closer to the track, but it's hardly make or break.
  13. Not sure how we have been let down - see Drews post which sums up the majority of our feelings! How are they clueless? Think they are probably one of the most switched promotions in the whole of British Soeedway. Sure they get some things wrong, but even Lord Ford manages that! You appear to have a chip on your shoulder but don't really explain why, other than stamping your feet and saying I'm not going anymore....
  14. Anyone who doesn't think our new team is stronger is having a laugh. There is no doubt with Lawson we are much stronger - especially if Tungate comes back in for Kerr too. That's basically the way I saw it in my previous post - as like I said using the new averages it'll total just over 46.00. Seems strange that it hasn't had BSPA approval yet though when we've been issued new averages as of today, so who knows! Would be very harsh on Kerr as he seems pretty solid, but seems madness to let Tungate get a new average and then bin him off, if we don't plan to bring him back.
  15. They can't be on like for like when converting from 2nd division to 1st division in this instance, would take our team limit to 46 points otherwise using the new averages. Unless the changes have been made using the old averages and built to 50.00 with Lawson replacing Tungate effectively.... which would scupper any plans to reintroduce Tungate I would of thought. All speculation for now until the redeclared team is confirmed and we know what averages have been used and to what limit.
  16. Another reason why I don't think he will be staying out of the side for too long....
  17. You must have at least 2 people to have come through the National League. Somerset now have 4 I believe in Charles Wright, Cameron Heeps, Richard Lawson and Lewis Kerr.
  18. My point exactly - we could end up with Tungate and Allen at reserve by the end of May. I can't believe for one minute that Heeps has been preferred over Tungate on a long term basis and is just an in fill for this weekends fixtures until Wright and Hougaards averages drop.
  19. See my earlier post - That is the only explanation I can think of.
  20. Think it's been done before. Didn't Scunthorpe do it before? Is there a rule preventing it? Almost seems too much of a coindence. I'm majorly surprised Tungate was able to complete his 4H 4A if weren't planning on hanging onto him. I haven't looked at the figures and don't know what Heeps has been signed on, but something seems abit fishy to me. Rye house away this weekend which Heeps rode all of last season. That will also see Hougaard and Wright complete their required matches too which are both going to drop. We then go to Swindon on bank holiday... now who piled up the points at reserve for Swindon last season? Hmmmm! If it is allowed and the averages work, could of been an absolute blinder that by the Somerset promotion. Give over. We've been about 2 or 3 points, which has usually been through engine failures or falls whilst winning, from changing our 3 home losses to home wins. Crowds have been good, racing has been even better, there is no way we should of hung around in the 2nd tier after clearing up last year again, to have a local derby with Peterborough!
  21. I assume as the press release says subject to BSPA approval, as our 8th match was at Wolves last Monday our new averages take effect from today - therefore it must be using the new averages.
  22. Strange decision to drop Tungate now when he has just achieved a new average. I can only assume without doing the numbers that he will be reintroduced into the side for Heeps once Hougaard and Wright achieve their new averages? Bringing in Lawson is a good move though and should strengthen the top end of the side up.
  23. Was well rumoured last week, so I'd assume so. I'm not certain of our new averages but I would assume that Kerr could slot straight in for Graversen under 42.00 points quite comfortably.
  24. Think that sums things up nicely.
