Thus watering down the product further.
-
For 7 man teams, there is not. Not without watering down the product even further.
-
Nowhere near enough riders allowing for injuries too for 1 big league. Most championship riders already double up into the Premiership.
-
It should be Somerset as he rode for us last season, assuming that's how the priority still works. I presume as we are riding on a now "off racenight" that may throw a spanner in the works.
-
So fixtures are now out! Excellent we have the double header still with Poole on Good Friday! Rumours are we are going to be making another signing before the start of the season - As we are in need of a new track man!
-
He should be at Somerset as he rode for us last year. Rubbish all the while though!
-
So now we've established Poole are going to win the league at a canter... I'm wondered whether people think Brady Kurtz is better than Nick Morris?
-
Care to expand on that?
-
That's obvious - there isn't enough fixtures to fill every week. However, there is no way any team should go 3/4 weeks or more without a meeting like they did last year.
-
Why? It makes much more sense for every team to stick to their required race night. For example if Somerset's race night will be Wednesday as expected, they should ride all home meetings on that day. When they meet other Wednesday night tracks, for example Poole, then in that week Poole will not ride a home meeting. It will be a nightmare following a team chopping and changing from mondays to Wednesday every week. It's not rocket science!
-
If the fixture list is compiled properly (after all these years of watching speedway it hasn't happened yet!) then not every team will be racing every Monday and every Wednesday, which will free up riders for guesting for other sides aswell as Chanpionship riders too.
-
Let's hope so!
-
I think that's exactly what it is.
-
Worse? Anyway it doesn't matter because my dad is bigger than your dad!
-
In a happy environment, on a well prepared racers track and good team unlike last year I can see Jack really prospering in 2018.
-
Holder won't drop his average - Fairly sure of that.
-
As other posters have already pointed out, Jack has said that Chris should be with him... not that Jack should be at Poole. More nonsense from PooleBolton as per usual. Jack Holder is more than happy to be at Somerset it seems, which Chris wanted too and was all set to join Doyle as the top 2 in the side until Matt Ford put the brakes on that move.
-
It's common knowledge that Holder wanted to be at Somerset. I'm sure there was other clubs interested too, but Matt Ford demanded a transfer fee and was refusing to loan him out. No club in the current financial climate was going to buy him especially given his unpredictability and by process of elimination he has ended up back at Poole, rather than be clubless.
-
I've missed something here clearly - Why all the fuss about Sundstrom? I thought Poole were holding out for someone like Milik or Madsen and they're likely to end up with Sundstrom
-
I believe they have been quoted in the past as saying they had lost thousands of pounds also? You can then add in other clubs from the lower divisions like Newport & Plymouth who haven't been able to make it pay.
-
Eastbourne, Birmingham, Lakeside in the top division all had to drop out because they couldn't afford it...
-
So you keep saying like a broken record.... what exactly did he say then, as you keep missing that bit of information out?
-
Irrelevant if they would sell 3 times as many race cards at £1 each, produced in house for a lot less than bought in from a printing firm and more work for £3 - especially when the riders in the score chart at wrong. £22 (assuming the car park is £2 is it??) before you've watched a race on a weekly basis is too much for most people.
-
Me too - I seem to remember Somerset done that one season and it was much better from my point of view. Promotors piece, a page full of adverts, fixtures list and a scorecard. What more do you need? Nobody really cares anymore when the visiting no.1 was born, nobody really cares what happened on this day 10 years ago, nobody really cares what happened in the premier league at another track last week... all that stuff can be found online if you really want to know it. 99% of preppie who buy a programme want a scorecard and that's it. I don't want to pay £3 for that and I won't be either, like I'm sure many others won't either. From memory when we had the race cards before they were all printed in house on the day so cheaper to produce and also they were up to date too.
-
I read it was £3 for a programme. Time to start printing my own I think!
