https://britishspeedway.co.uk/premiership/morris-appointed-premiership-ceo/ Former rider and manager Morris, who will continue as FIM Race Director at Grand Prix and World Cup events, takes on the newly created position with the responsibility of overseeing all aspects of Premiership business. 47-year-old Morris will be a major decision-maker at the top of the Premiership, both in terms of rulebook interpretation and race-night operations, and the specifics of his role also include an active involvement in the running of televised meetings. ———— So, implementing and interpretation of the rules and all aspects of Premiership business. Yep, I think this shambles falls under that umbrella.

If they told the truth they would get a facility for Laguta with holding his services… and probably have abit of sympathy from their own fans for being honest. Outright lying with a sentence that “Laguta is injured, so Chris Harris guests” is utter b0ll0cks.
-
He shouldn’t be given some of his scores recently, especially a big fat duck egg yesterday in Poland…
-
Isn’t he supposed to be cleaning up this sort of mess? It’s a shambles of a situation. Kings Lynn look like morons for trying to claim Artem is injured, when clearly he isn’t. British Speedway management look like morons and so weak for not putting a stop to it, at risk of upsetting Buster…. Ask to see his flights that were booked (and now cancelled) to show he was actually meant to be coming. And you filter all the way back down the channels and the ones who ultimately end up suffering and being lied to is the fans. But who cares about them anyway?

Emil also has a massively important match on Friday for Torun, so I’m assuming will be attending training/practice on Thursday. You can’t fault his commitment so far to Ipswich and had it been a league match I’m sure he would of been riding.

Laguta not being at Wolverhampton tomorrow and then getting a facility is nothing short of a joke. In this day and age you can’t pull the wool over people’s eyes and sight injury when he’s been tearing it up in Poland for all of us to see. You can’t claim travel problems as that is easily traceable - long and short, you will get found out if you are lying. I’m in a couple different speedway groups and called that Laguta wouldn’t be at Wolves on Monday the moment that he withdrew last week - and may never ride for them again either. Im not for one minute suggesting we go down the route of the Swedish league that dishes out rider replacement facilities like they are going out of fashion for no reason, but there is something that has to be done about this going forward. I’ve long thought that shared no.1 team positions could be a way forward for certain riders like Woffinden and others who don’t want to ride every single match over here but I get financially that may not work. There has to be some sort of compromise to make that work.

Did Ellis score 4 or 5? Live Updates and BSPL site disagree -
Belle Vue -V- Peterborough
Najjer replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He had a really nasty crash in Poland where it appeared that his bike packed up and he high sided after hitting the fence. He was withdrawn from the meeting after that crash so no surprise he isn’t riding today. -
Vuolas +3 has to be worth a punt with Miedzinski really not at the races! Lublin -14
-
You are absolutely right that his score is only 8, but bonus points show a rider’s true worth to his team. If you’ve got a rider who is scoring lots of bonus points then this implies he is running very little last places. Those are the riders you want as second strings.

Me too - I was expecting to be Wolves to be about -24 so hoping to fill my boots tonight.
-
And stupidly, come November we will all hope for some positive news and live in hope that at the AGM they have listened to the fans and come up with a product worth supporting next year…. Until March and then the cycle starts again!
-
Why? Because they got beat?
-
Why is it such a closed shop though and can’t promotors be actively open about that?
-
And I’m saying I disagree in part - that injury to Pickering came at the worst time imaginable just as Jakobsen moved into the main body of the side. They went from Jakobsen, to Pickering to Simon Lambert guesting the first week. That is unfortunate timing and bad luck.
-
I never really understand this though - it’s a bit of a well known ‘secret’ so why not come out and say we have signed Tarasenko but just waiting on approval? It makes them look silly by just saying nothing and then when the announcement comes it’s already a huge anti climax as everybody knows.
-
I would suggest that Kings Lynn losing Josh Pickering about a day after averages changed meaning he went to reserve, due to injury whilst riding for Edinburgh, is pretty unlucky and unfortunate!

SGP and SGP 2 qualifying round nominations
Najjer replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
As per norm, that’s well summarised - Nilsson went through 3 qualifying meetings (at least, as not sure he had to do a Swedish qualifier too so possibly 4) so was well deserving of his position. This is probably the reason why the GP challenge has been moved away from a UK track. -
In fairness, in this instance, he is right - it costs for your child to be in what is called wrap around care at ‘breakfast’ or ‘after school club’ before and after school… although I feel like we might be going slightly off topic here.

Ritchie Hawkins had the best one I can remember seeing - “Monge Tout”
-
If that’s true, then that’s massive - Tarasenko is a super talented rider and is superb on the big open tracks. A real showman and all action rider. He’ll be a great signing and well worth watching

ill - although I would bet my house on him making a miracle recovery against all doctor’s orders to take his place in the Krosno team at Wroclaw tomorrow night -

I said the other day, Krakowiak or Tonder would make superb signings for one of the big track clubs in this league.
