  7. He certainly was Iris. I suspect that is something that very much went in his favour
  8. I'm surprised that there has been no mention on this website of the fact that Armando Castagna was elected to be the chairman of the FIM Track Racing Commission. Armando replaces Norway's Roy Otto who has stepped down to concentrate on other interests. Armando was elected at the FIM Congress held in Geneva over the weekend. The other contenders in the election were Tony Steele, and Boris Kotnjek from Slovenia. Tony Steele, will however, server on the track racing committee
  9. Yes Bunce, he will still be involved. He will be managing the Prague club in the Czech league. He will also be involved with the track for both the Czech Grand Prix as well as the World Cup in Prague. There may also be some further snippets in the meeting programme....
  10. I'm assuming it was by King's Lynn, BUT Given its in the official fixture list ?
  11. We have to work with the date that we are given, which was March 8th. I'm guessing that date was arranged early season to give the KL riders an opportunity to have a good workout before the serious business of the league starts, as well as to make the most of all available dates given the carnage taht the weather bought to the season last year
  12. You are right as far as the non UK based riders are concerned, as the travelling costs can be spread across the 2 / 3 events that THEY decide to ride in.
  13. I think its safe to say that TT is hoping that all of the 2013 stars are in action that night
  14. Very good question Bryn........ There will be an auction in the bar afterwards though
  15. At one point they cut back to the TVP presenter who passed comment in English about the delays.
  16. been watching the Belgian stream and have to say its been rock solid here in the UK.
  17. I don't think so. What you will see is that top name riders may well appear at all 3 meetings, so enabling the 3 meetings to run in a more cost effective manner as travel costs can be reduced for the non British league regulars such as Nicki.
  18. SRBF meeting on Saturday, and Freddie Lindgren testimonial on the Sunday so hence more chance of getting visiting (from abroad ) riders after practise before the NZ GP. Think Nicki and.......
  19. The airport bus from Arlanda stops quite close by as well I believe (Hotel Jarva Krog)
  20. It has been reported on Facebook that Dutch Ice Racing start Tjitte Bootsma has today died after a long battle with illness. RIP Tjitte, and thanks for the entertainment
  21. I knew I remembered somebody saying the Monster sponsorship was coming from Poland.... Did anybody notice from last nights SWC in Poland that the 2 Monster trucks that were in the pits, and taking Russia around on their victory lap were English registered ? Nottingham / Lincoln plates to be more specific........
