  1. Totally agree that's follow my leader processional speedway has been at owlerton for the last 3 years... we have been coming to Sheffield since the closure of long eaton about 16 years ago and it was worth the effort.. now it's becoming a chore.. Scunthorpe on a Sunday afternoon although not ideal is becoming a very favourable option.. why have Sheffield lost all the SGB meetings?? Maybe similar reason that it doesn't promote the support.. Maybe best stadium, possibly best promotion but worst track !! Long Eaton had worst stadium , not the best team but always close meetings and good racing.. I'm with Moranboys... would rather lose but see close racing with passing inside and outside
  2. What a utter bore fest again... not even close 1st bends.. 12 out of15 races won within 10 yards Crowd tonight was very poor and will be one man and his dog by June unless they try and get the track raceable. This is currently worse than the Leicester track was and they nearly folded because the previous owner refused to deal with the issues.. Surely the riders don't enjoy following each other at high speed within a metre of air fence with no chance of racing?
  3. Well what more is there to say apart from thr promotion tried and what a good effort, Stadium full, Bars and food outlets busy.. BUT I go for the racing and a few fast hard 1st/2nd corners then that was your lot.... Im sorry but reading the promoters comments then this is as good as we can expect... The crowd was fantastic,” Bates said. “We drew in 3,000 people and I never expected that many, so the response was superb. “The atmosphere was electric and the racing was great, so if that doesn’t entice people back then I don’t know what more we can do. “Heat eight was fantastic, with Josh (Bates) battling with Paul Starke, Todd Kurtz and Robert Branford were superb in heat 14 and there were some really close battles. This is sad as i was looking forward to this season but looks like another season of i might go but if something else is on or the weather is iffy i wont bother and newbies... Well not a chance they will return im afraid, back to one man and his dog next week. Nice try but people go to see close racing and passing inside and out, chasing the wheel different lines of attack !! Sad but if your a regular then expect a lot of no racing in 2017
  4. May have gone from 6.79 to 7.16 in a month but then gradually went backwards ending season losing a point on his average..
  5. But why does it state on the new declared bspa website team building 2017 5.02 also declared in Coventry team at 5.02
  6. I've just double checked the averages for 2017 team building and I also get 40.1
  7. Can't say either excite me.. sorry but I don't see a play off team there..
  8. Because when 2 of these have a bad night we need backup.. unless they improve average wise when it comes down to heat 15 we will need that extra rider
  9. Just seen Redcar team and the big whoo arrr about how good Sheffield is im bemused... currently with teams so far I put us outside playoffs... for me we need another heat leader Brady Kurtz but unsure it will be looking at announcements of 2nd string and reserve.. for me unless it's klindt we will struggle
  10. Danish League And Poole are generally Wednesday nights, Matt Ford has already stated he is looking at Nicolai & Hans fixture to sort his own so i would imagine he would still take up the offer of another UK track
  11. Ahhh I forgot that part about 2 double uppers/downers in the same team... Having seen the way Glasgow,Ipswich,Newcastle have gone i think the best team for us would be - Brady Kurtz & Nathan Greaves
  12. No James Sargent at Ipswich, Local lad.. would be a good signing for me
  13. Excellent signing - Next is the gamble... Do you go with a good reserve , Josh BWD and another 5 pointer in top 5 or go top heavy Brady Kurtz and Nathan Greaves or Todd Kurtz/ Klindt & Sissis , or Tom Perry & upto 6.5
  14. Probably a choice of world u21, 4th place finisher or someone who struggled.. we got the latter then.. Need a couple of good signings now to compensate as it's getting worrying as lots of announcements and not a lot coming out of owlerton
  15. Thats another massive kick in the teeth for the NSS... The stadium was built with the promise of major events and now the World Cup has gone, and also the World U21's If they cant get these meetings the track is now basically going to run in 2017 with just 18 Premiership meetings and no showcase events... This doesnt help attract new promotors as there is no income to generate I can see the NSS closing at the end of 2017 season
  16. That makes perfect sense.. very happy if announced GOOD MORNING TIGERS FANS! We are delighted to welcome talented teenager Jack Parkinson-Blackburn to the team for 2017! More from 8am.
  17. If that average is correct Brady is an absolute steal and should break the bank to get him, Will be highest average number one in Championship with Sheffield as his home track
  18. When did Brady Kurtz suddenly go from 9.22 to 7.65 ?? http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/pl16_issue_24.pdf http://www.speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/pl16_issue_23.pdf
  19. So am i correct that he wont be a 5, i know some riders eg Mason Campton had to take a 5 even though he hadn't achieved this but when Arthur returned last season came in on his previous average
  20. Is there a link to the listing, Shows on final declaration was 3.79 and i also thought he had uk licence as he doesnt have visa issues
  21. but there 2 pointers for a reason, they have failed to obtain a proper average in the premier league having gained an official average... can you see them improving ?? but a newcomer on 3 is still a gamble but should be some improvement
  22. If you add sergeant thats only 4.97 left...
  23. If you go with that top 3 , Assuming Hume on a 2 and a newcomer at 3 thats 29.23 leaves 10.77 for the last 2 riders... 40 points is a crippler... if you take nearly a 1/4 of your points with a 10 point man it leaves very little room
  24. All Press releases are very clear.... If a rider has ridden in the premier league and achieved an average under 3 they will continiue with that average, Josh Bailey, Nathan Geaves etc... Any newcomers who have not achieved an official premier league average will be a 3... JPB, Jack Smith etc
  25. Wasnt overly impressed when i first read it but now think this could be a masterstroke on that average, will hopefully put at least a point on that and maybe get back to his 8 plus average. 40 Points is tricky and i can see a lot of teams building without a number 1 I dont want Josh but he will be a definite signing so will include him in my below : Howarth - 7.18 Dimi - 6.91 Bjerre - 6.65 Bates - 5.02 Schlein or Holder - 7.17 or 7.16 Sissis - 3.79 JPB - 3.00 = 39.72 I think Rory would be an amazing signing on that average and would be the experience and captain to carry us forward
