Are we going to build very top heavy team with reserves that would be ok at home but with new rules on tactical moves we have big hitters away Promoters have also listened to fans’ feedback and have scrapped the tactical ride for double points and rolled back the years by bringing back the traditional tactical substitute when a team is six points or more behind. This applies between Heats 5-14 excluding Heat 8. Away meetings we keep it close with 3 heat leaders but have the option at 6 points down to replace a reserve with a 8 point plus rider as we would have 3 then hit teams hard in heats 13 and 15.

Well thats unexpected.... Im guessing a rider came available who changed the team building options Happy with it though
-
Just seen Nathan Greaves has been told he is not in Ipswich plans.. would be happy with Nathan at reserve with Georgie
-
Right its sorted for 2018 : Josh G 9.47 Dan Bewley 5.95 Josh Bates 6.54 Kyle Newman 6.10 or David Howe 6.18 Kyle Howarth 8.62 James Sergeant 3.33 Georgie Wood 2.31 For me every rider would maintain there average but i feel 4 could possibly put a point on there starting average
-
We have only released Lasse as josh and Kyle are committed.. So far we have : Josh G Kyle H Georgie I would then assume Josh B Next it comes a choice of Todd or Jan After that its anyones guess.. If you looking at lower average reserves : Sergeant for me is a good shout especially if the starting regulations help.. Robert Branford? JPB Middle order : Lewis Kerr Kyle Newman Paul Starke Charles Wright

But that rules out All premiership clubs , surely his tweet would have been need a club championship only ?
-
I can understand Sheffield going with Josh & Kyle, Best mates and ride together well plus they will retain there average , Not sure Lasse would be as reliable although was awesome last year and once he got dialled in at Owlerton he was nearly untouchable. Biggest shock is it looks like the Bates have also released him from Leicester, i would have thought that maybe if they couldnt accommodate him at Sheffield they would have given him a sweetener and got him at Leicester

At the latest averages there is 8 teams in the Premiership and only 7 riders exceeding 8 pts, whats the issue ?? any riders who have previously ridden in the uk or new riders could be given an assesed 7.50 which gets around the issue of keeping top riders out of the top league

anyone got flights.... My dad is 70 in December and looking at sorting a Polish grand Prix for a present , just wondered whats best and easiest ?
-
Does that mean no sunday racing at Owlerton at all next season or is this the last we have seen of Kyle ?
-
From a selfish point of view Wednesdays work for me

Thats what i thought.... be interesting what happens to Ipswich, Redcar and Sheffield , Sunday avoided for Poland, Tuesday would i assume be avoided as thats Sweden, that then also restricts the dates available to fulfill a full fixture list as would make a lot of teams riding on the same day/night so lots of potential clashes
-
Recently read an article about James Shanes returning to Poole and thought he would be an excellent addition but then started to think we cannot sign any riders who double up if we remain in the championship and Premiership race nights are set on Monday's and Thursdays, we would also potentially be racing teams who regularly would have lots of guests as they have got double up riders. The only way would be change race day , Seems like Sheffield have lots of decisions to make off track before team building can commence. I would hate to see guests galore on a Thursday.

Looks like you heard it here first !!!

Looks like one is Kings Lynn, He has announced sponsors in Norfolk and Adrian Flux
-
I think Vaculik will ride at Sheffield if in top league or Leicester if set days in the week as i think Simon Stead will use his relationship to persuade him.
-
Although the pay per points is increased in Poland and Sweden the riders generally dont score as many points per meeting as every race has GP or better standard riders so means they have mixed results but agreed on a good day they can earn a fantastic amount of money.
-
Crikey you wouldn't have many paying punters to watch that Sheffield team
-
£180 - £200 a point sounds a reasonable figure for a GP standard number 1. So they average 9 over 32 meetings ish gives them earnings of about £54k , not a bad living for one country and they will probably earn similar in Poland and Sweden.

Sheffield team : 7.34 Josh Grajczonek 6.64 Kyle Howarth 6.10 Lasse Bjerre 5.06 Lewis Jessie Kerr 4.86 Kyle Newman 2.95 James Shanes 2.00 Georgie Wood 34.95

Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
psycho3a replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Riders for Leicester confirmed : Kerr stands in for Lasse Bjerre whilst Cameron Heeps replaces Josh Bates. Both riders are required by Sheffield, who have priority on their services. Not sure thats correct how they will ride though as Heeps average is higher than Kerr's - Kerr 5.06, Heeps 5.25 -
