Considering the similarity of Australian tracks to Monmore Green, this is distressing news.

I think a lot of non Tigers fans will be agreeing with you.

My Wolves programmes commence from 1950. I almost prefer the older ones which were just 8 pages, simple. There seems to be more adverts than anything else in today's programmes. Of course I realise that may be the only thing keeping the programme in existence. Football is going the way of getting rid of them. Quite a few clubs have reverted to digital only including I think Derby County. For me that will be a sad day if that happens with speedway ( I also collect physical CD's and vintage american comics, so it's my thing)

Can't imagine the last spot not being Worrall.

Should the OAP discount be scrapped?

A point to consider. OAP'S allegedly may now have more disposable income than younger people. But that is only because we have paid off our mortgage/debts. So these younger people will get to that position eventually. So not quite an equal comparison I would say. -
Well whatever CVS and Adams have apparently learned from the mistakes of last season it is passing me by. The team is a virtually a clone of last season. Perhaps worse with Shclein returning and in decline. No disrespect to Rory, he exceeded my expectations when we first signed him and he has been a great captain, but like all of us he is not getting any younger ( and has had a year out)

Isn't it great to be 'disliked' just because you are older ? -
Strong challengers for the title again.

Could you really envisage admission charges ever coming down ? I dont think so. -
I think the salient sentence is "when he got banned". So this is a rider that breaks rules, by inference cannot be relied upon to do what he should, and presumably would be a negative for team spirit. Not many incentives to sign him, I think.
-
He's erratic everywhere, and on occasions a danger to his team mates. To paraphrase the John Lewis advert "never knowingly under control"
-
Spot on.

For each track it is a business decision. I sincerely hope that those withdraw it do not have cause for regret it at the end of the season. What I don't get is why are those younger people who don't get the concession moaning about it ? At my place of work, I have been there 21 years. As such I get extra holidays, currently 30 days, a total that you got to in incremental stages. Now because they cannot afford wage rises they are upping everyone's holiday entitlement to 30 days over the next 2 years. I am no worse off, others are better off, why should I complain? -
Why would BV let Brennan go ? He's the type of rider every team needs, young and only going to get better. Also good to watch.

Wash your mouth out.

Its the sort of thing that happens at record fairs. if you're looking for something in particular, you pay extra to have first dibs at the dealers stock. That of course pre-supposes that things are being sold at this event.

Just pretend we're Belle Vue and dont have to adhere to any rules.

I thought things were cheaper 'oop north' ? -
Barker, in general is a joke, but at Monmore he hasn't a clue whatsoever. Absolutely no thanks. Would rather have a blank space.
-
Wouldn't be against that in principle. Depends upon the make-up of the top 5. Whilst Schlein was in the end a good signing, I'm not sure about re-signing him. Surely his average can only go down. That would potentially leave Becker, Douglas and Flint as the only ones with improvement in them. No disrespect to Masters he has been doing a grand job in the past few years, and if it is Worrall I expect him to continue doing a solid job at second string.

So think that by getting rid of 'old people' stadiums will immediately be flooded with young people ? I assume you don't run a business. If your first thought is to decrease the customer base, you're not going to be very successful.Does this argument apply to football ? My local football club, WWFC, offers cheaper season tickets for over 65's, as I assume all other Premiership clubs do. Are you saying all Premiership clubs don't know what they are doing? After all football is a much bigger business than speedway. -

So you think that those that have reached pension age haven't had to pay these costs throughout their lives ? Back in the 70's, interest rates for mortgages were in the region of 11% to 15 %. We just got on with it. Commuting ? My dad used to walk 5 miles to work to start at 6:00 am because there were no buses. Growing up I lived in a house with an outside toilet and no central heating. Today's pensioners have gone through a lot more than cosseted people like you ever will. So shut up.- 90 replies

Unfortunately I have to agree with you there.

You have to remember he rode for our nearest local rivals, Coventry, for 11 years. He took us to the cleaners on many, many occasions. He, along with Scott Nicholls, was virtually an ever present in all our open meetings as a track specialist. With our top 2 riders in hospital we only needed an average performance. We didn't even get that.

Speedway grand final 2017 home leg to Swindon. Lost on aggregate 90-89. No Lindgren or Thorssell. Harris guesting 4 points - rubbish from a "track specialist". He beat Bellego (second string) and Liam Carr and Wilson-Dean both reserves. Doubt if he has scored as low as that on any subsequent visit.
