I fully expect Ipswich to be the mix for the title (although you might need more from the reserves) and not my own team Wolves. Obviously, the pairs is a foregone concusion, so you can look forward to that. It was a an absolute pleasure to watch Doyle and Sayfutdinov last night, so kudos to Ipswich for bringing the latter back into the league. There, can we be friends now ?

Well funnily enough the referee agreed with my 'biased' opinion. So was the referee 'biased' ?
-
I have an opinion, sorry its different to your's but there you go. Surprisingly you might find that on a forum.................................

Dont they use the track covers on the greyhound track anymore ? -
Perason must have watched 100's of rollers at Spoons with Gundersen.....................................

I've watched it back a few times now, and have to disagree with you, it was just a good gate. So was Schleins in heat 11 which was pulled back.

I think this will be a very tough match for Wolves. Doyle is a great rider around Monmore and hard to be beat. I ignore Emil's scores from long ago at Monmore, , they are irrelevant, a top rider. Heats 13 and 15 look daunting, and King also has been doing well. Ahead of the match I would take 46-44.

Line ups from the Wolves site:- WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Steve Worrall, Rory Schlein, Ryan Douglas, Scott Nicholls, Zach Cook, Leon Flint.PETERBOROUGH: Chris Harris, Hans Andersen, Richie Worrall, Benjamin Basso, Nick Morris, Ben Cook, Jordan Jenkins.

Unfortunately I am of the pessimistic viewpoint. We have seen the struggles of Cradley to get a new track over decades. Whilst Wolverhampton Council may be sympathetic, I can't think of a site in Wolverhampton which would not raise objections from residents either relating to noise and/or traffic congestion. And they would be in their rights to do so.There are some houses near to Monmore Green, but I think there is a law which says you can't complain about a nuisance if it was already there and you move next to it. I wouldn't think that there are many residents locally who were there in 1928 !

Wolves v Leicester 24/04

I live no more than a mile from the track and yesterday I was working from home. There was no rain at all in the day or evening. Foreasts eh ? -

The entrance fee is completely irrelevant, a 5 team league is totally unworkable. -
Very handy.
-
The chances of that happening are virtually nil, the nearby experience of Cradley tells us that.
-
Where do you live, in the car park ?
-
And you are very, very predictable.
-
This could already be his season highlight. Expect him gone by June.
-
One good meeting out of three. You do know he has a history of inconsistency ?
-
Well Kasparzak most certainly was the key. I wouldn't expect that every week though.
-
With this being Wolves first away match it is difficult to say how they will do. As a starting point I would be happy with the bonus point. Kasparzak holds the key. If his home performance is akin to his away performances then Stars could be in trouble.
-
So have I, since his Ipswich days.
-
You must be mistaken, you have imagined those results. Monmore Green is a fortress and nobody wins there.

· Kemp let go as he wasn’t really a team man, when things went wrong he would get quite down and insular. Kemp lives in Ipswich, but they chose Joe Thompson over him. Has talent but……………………… · Agreed to let Morris go to Leicester. Went down a particular path which probably would have meant having the best reserve in the league (with presumably Morris’ replacement not being as good), then Schlein contacted them. Thought about it over 3 days and then agreed to him coming back, resulting in a change at reserve. Zach Cook contacted them, and agreed to that move. · Schlein going to be kept busy riding in both leagues and having a full time drivers job with Hermes ( he had that when last here) · Adams helping Woffinden again and he is the lightest he has been for years ( Woffinden not Adams !) · Would not be surprised to see Thorsell back at some point in the future. · Flint had a lot on last year driving himself and doing his own mechanical work. Got a mechanic now to help him. · Need Becker and Flint to improve in order to challenge for honours. Becker in particular needs to establish himself as a genuine heat leader. · Every team needs a Steve Worrall, always helping younger/other riders with advice and equipment. Needs to start winning heat 8 though!

I once looked into this i.e. the 2 tracks nearest to each other. The answer, unless someone can prove otherwise, was West Ham and Hackney who were only 3 miles apart. So that could be said to be the biggest derby. Certainly Wolves v Cradley had a ferocity to it that perhaps wasn't matched elsewhere, and I have seen fighting at those matches.

Quite right, Shovlar's opinion is the only one that matters (in his own head that is ).
