I was quite impressed with Bates last night, and as you say the more rides he has, the quicker he will improve. Then hopefully we will have a good PAIR of reserves as the season goes on.

I feel that Freddies first two rides were due to mechanical issues. Sorted them out an normal service was resumed in his next three I don't suddenly think we're going to be challenging for the title, but it would be nice if we were hard to beat at Monmore, and on that score Blackbird and Bates have a lot to offer.

This is going to the debut for Musielak, and with all due respect he is not a Pawlicki, therefore expecting somewhere round 3 points. For us to win, PK has to ride like he did at Coventry and Freddie has to up his game from what we've seen so far this season. Tough match and just hoping for a Wolves win, but with no real confidence in that.

The point that you appear to be making is last week without bike problems Robson would have scored a max, unbeaten after two rides. You are then assuming that performance would have been repeated this week. All I am saying is that your number 1 Andersen only scored 7, therefore Robson would have outscored him. Was that really likely? I agree that Robson would have likely scored more than Kus, but by how much is pure conjecture. i You also mentioned Robson's performance from last season against King's Lynn. Performances from last year are of no relevance e.g. look at PK last night versus last year! Seems to me you wish to give no credit for a decent Wolves effort, and surely Lindgren normally does better than his score last night.

Don't really think you can use a performance from the previous season as a benchmark for likely scoring eg. PK last year and then this this effort! Okay Robson did well in two rides but again no guarantee that would have continued the rest of the night. Are you suggesting that Robson over the season is going to outscore your number 1 Andersen ?

As a long term collector I would suggest that a list is absolutely vital, otherwise how will you know what you need and what you have got ? It may be tedious to compile a list but I would recommend it. Difficulties arise when inserts are used for previously cancelled meetings.....................................

For Wolves, whilst riding for them, the total is 2, Ole Olsen and Sam Ermolenko. The numer of titles is 3 with Olsen winning in 1971 and 1975. That last title meant little to the Wolves fans as we knew he was off to pasture's new in 1976. Anyway after this year I'm hoping the total will go up to 3

A lucky friend of mine (good job there isn't a jealousy emoticon ) has been offered, for his birthday, either a trip to Latvia or Slovenia for the respective GP's. I would be very grateful if anyone could offer information about:- 1. The quality of racing at the two venues, Daugavpils and Krsko 2. Qualities about the two countries, which is nicer to visit ? 3. The relative cost of food and drink in both countries, bearing in mind one has it's own currency, the Lat and the other has the Euro. In other words which one should he choose?
