Even wolves ???!!!

After signing Woffinden, and before Anderson was injured, I would have put this tie at 50/50. With the signing of Lindback I would now say 55/45 to Poole. Lindback can certainly ride Monmore Green. Wolves record at Poole varies between poor to dismal, although to be fair in the last decade a lot of that is due to the quality of teams that Poole have had. I expect Poole to win by 12-14 points, with Wolves winning at home by 6-8. Poole in the final.

And what makes you deserve anything ?
-
Says who ? The programme for the last match against Coventry says the next meeting is either Wednesday 21st or Monday 26th. Only you could make a virtue of riding on your normal race night.

King's Lynn V The Wolves 25/08/16
Beowulf replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just thought it was ironic complaining about a guest when it was a guest that contributed majorly to your win yesterday.....................................but don't worry I'm not looking for an argument. As for tonight, rider replacement means rides for Woffinden, Tungate and the reserves, so on balance I would say we are slightly worse off as our reserves aren't great. Plus normally it's one less option for heat 15 (although tonight that should obviously be Lindgren and Woffinden). With regard to R/R I don't like what Adams does, he puts the best riders in first whereas I would prefer to keep them towards the end of the meeting when scores might be tight. I would be interested in his logic on that one ! Overall hoping for a point. -

This all seems rather ungrateful after what Freddie did for you yesterday.................................................................................. -
Perhaps he had reverse English lessons from Starman ?

I'd rather play marbles in the fast lane of the M1, than watch the Spoons...................................................................................................

Neil and Paul Evitts. Nigel and Eric Boocock.

That is the crux of the matter. Obviously Woffinden improves us and gives us more firepower in heats 13 and 15. But we are still left with two reserves, who combined are not as good as the those of Poole or Belle Vue and we know from the last few years how important reserves can be. I still put Belle Vue as favourites to win the title, with Poole next, followed by us. Happy to be proved wrong of course.

Embarrassing.

Adam's "masterstroke" was Bech's personal problems, without which I think he would still have been here. But isn't that the case at all/most tracks ? That is what I thought it was, and am sure this is what the Speedway Star refer to. If not related to track preparation, what is the accolade for ? -

Injured knee, due to be out for a month from the time of his injury. Already missed quite a few meetings. He's been solid and steady so far, as opposed to fantastic, but with rider replacement you are never sure how it's going to work out. Plus you have one less option for heat 15. -

This would a tough match under normal circumstances, but using rider replacement for Klymakorpi and perhaps Freddie not 100% fit, it is even tougher. So at the moment I would take 46-44, although it would great to stop the Robins leaving with a point. -
What an utterly amazing match - two complete teams with no guests or rider replacement. A rare thing indeed !
-
Would happily take 46-44

Bell Vue V Wolves Friday 17th June

Coming up for this one to see the new stadium, weather allowing. The Wolves line up looked weak, but will look a lot better if Masters rides. Still expecting a comfortable win for the Aces, 51-39, something like that. -

If I read your post right i.e. it is full of sarcasm, then four points:- 1. If you have a beef about the current rules and regulations, then say so explicitly as have other posters who have not criticised Wolves or Karlsson. 2. If your beef is with Karlsson, then you are barking up totally the wrong tree. Peter Karlsson has been a magnificent servant to Wolves (over 6,000 points) and to British speedway in general having made his debut in 1990. At all the other clubs he has ridden for, he has been popular with management and fans alike. 3. If Sarjeant and Roynon, the reserves he beat, combined achieve half of what Karlsson has, then they will have done very well. 4. Try spelling PK's name right next time. -

They could have helped themselves anyway by signing a rider up to the points limit instead of Woryna. That is more of an issue than Garrity. -

No need to be worried with the team mentioned above admittedly. Might have been a different matter with a full team. -

Would hope for a point, but with Bridger at reserve I don't think that will happen. So far away we've only failed to get any points from Poole, so you never know.l'll keep my fingers crossed.😂 -
One thing I am looking forward to is seeing Niels ride. He had 1 season with us and results wise it was terrible. But it was great to see him ride every week, superb style. Also Lambert is a great talent. Considering recent form for both teams it should be 3 points for Wolves and nothing for the Stars.
