Perhaps Steve is a little zealous in his defence of Wolves, but he nowhere near the level of idiocy that is Starman.Steve can debate, Starman can't. As for Wolves the general consensus seems to to be that Wolves should make the play-offs, and I don't think Steve is claiming anymore than that.

Joke accepted. Now joking apart....................................................................I expect Wolves toughest 2 home matches to be against the Rockets. Harris and Nicholls are track specialists. At the last talk-in, CVS said by not signing them he still had his favourite guests available when needed. Robson has been a thorn in our side when riding for Coventry, Newcastle and Monmore are very similar. Watt and Kennett have had their moments also, although Kennett's moment's have reduced somewhat since his, uh, mechanical problems were revealed. Should be very close for both matches.

Even then ! Erik Gunderson was in essence a gater and very limited from the back. Still achieved top spot. From a Wolves perspective one of the best ever spoons riders was Jan o Petersen, fantastic to watch and superb from the back, and couldn't gate at all. Yet his 1 world title was 5 gates. Go figure.

Fair enough there are some similarities. However, the question is, does giving this moniker to them add extra pressure (which they don't need). I think the simple answer is yes it does. I wouldn't want any Wolves rider to be labelled the next anything. As for the word odd, please replace with 'baffling'

On that occasion that was more of a balls up by Woffinden rather than great riding by Newman. Woffinden opened the throttle and ended up right by the fence leaving a huge Newman sized hole on the inside. Although generally I will admit Newman rides Monmore very well.
