Wolves Vs Kings Lynn: 05.06.2017. P Koc 1st Leg
Beowulf replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We have won the KO Cup once, in 1996,when we did the double with the league. I most certainly would like to win it again. -

If you can't spell a 6 letter word, then there really is no hope of you ever appearing literate or intelligent. -

Whichever way you look at it, having Nicholls instead of Lindgren is an advantage to Poole. -

Perhaps under normal circumstances, but riding a meeting previously at 2.00 pm isn't normal ! That has got have some affect on him. -

So you expect Nicholls to score 13? I will check back with you on Tuesday about that then . -

He is a long term track specialist, but his powers are now starting to wane, he's not getting any younger. And 2 meetings in 6 hours including travel from Leicester to Wolverhampton ? He's going to be shattered. -

Yes its on the website now. Also Scott Nicholls is guesting for Freddie, so I would say there is every chance of him missing heat 1. Also Pirates chances of getting something out of the match have now just gone up. -

Doesn't say on the Wolves website, although I would imagine earlier than that. I wish to obtain an autograph in the pits, so have e-mailed the club to ask about timings. Awaiting a response. -
I think you would simply split the Cardiff crowd with people choosing to go to one event or the other.

I wasn't aware that there was a daily quota of posts available. What's the maximum then ? -

The concern for Wolves is Lindgren. If he is not fit the choice of guests is virtually nil. And if R/R has to be used, that would be advantage Poole. If he does ride then he surely he won't be able to score his normal level of points. Not looking good for Wolves in any scenario. -

And what about Wednesday, will the hammering be reversed ? -

I usually agree with very few of your posts, however in this instance I do. The top 4 teams currently using the +/- system are Wolves (+7), Poole (+5), Belle Vue (+5) and king's Lynn(+3) but with very little between the top 4. Prority 1 is to qualify for the play-offs and see what happens after that. Peter Adams said in his notes for the Swindon match said we have to guard against complacency. Just as well as Swindon earned a point with basically a 2 man team. There is also the unknown outcome of team changes. Wolves have made theirs with great effect. Will others do the same ? -

Only other viable option would be Robert Lambert I guess. Are any of Bjerre, Lambert or C.Holder riding in Poland or elsewhere on Sunday though ? -
Ahh, I remember that now, but Poole were definitely sniffing around.
-
Indeed he did. At one stage he was going to give up and go to Poole. Thankfully he didn't and the rest, as they say, is history.
-
Doyle and Morris possibly, but I think that's asking too much of Bellego.
-
As a Wolves fan, the current interest is, how long can Freddie go unbeaten ? He is now unbeaten in 5 matches (4 home, 1 away). So if it's going to happen soon, this is the time with Doyle visiting. Both of them GP stars and in good form. Freddie hasn't ridden in heat 15 a few times recently, because the team hasn't needed him too, but hopefully he does in this one so we get another race against Doyle. Swindon's start to the season has surprised a lot of people, including me. The main cause of this has been the form of Morris and Bellego, with the latters' being the most surprising so well done to him and to Rosco for picking him. Monmore is not a particularly happy hunting ground for the Robins (as Blunsdon isn't for us), and with Wolves in great form I do expect a home win, but by what score I really don't know.
-
Yes, but they will have to be shorter than you, weigh less than you and have not been to Leicester in the last 8 days.
-
Well thanks for posting the info. In your position I would tried everything to eradicate it from the memory banks. I keep all my programmes from matches that I've been to, but that one I lost. PhilfromCov, who doesn't seem to post anymore, let me have his copy, I think he just wanted to get rid of 'the damn thing'.

Ex rider I believe.
-
So do Poole ! Where are all the pre-season Poole fans who said Kasprzak would do the business ?
-
Care to give us more details ? I do also remember a Wolves win at Lakeside 30-60 ( I was there), with Steve Johnstone in our side. Captain Flymo as he was called then !
