  1. In those days wouldn't it have just been 1 reserve ?
  2. What Starman knows can be written on the back of a postage stamp.
  3. If r/r is employed for Morris, there is no doubt, Swindon are significantly weakened.
  4. Play-offs are a long way off, anything can happen in the interim, loss of form, injuries,Poole strengthening up etc.
  5. Does anybody know the rules regarding a concussion injury (Morris) as discussed on other threads? Some quoting a rule that a concussed rider is not allowed to ride for 9 days thereafter, yet Rosco is saying Morris is having a brain scan and if that is okay he will ride. Confused ? Yes I am !
  6. Already been done, we've got Somerset.
  7. We are approaching the half way point of the season, so where are we ? I like to use the +/- system as applied to the league table to show what's really going on. The system eliminates the differences in home and away matches ridden. For points dropped at home it is minus and points gained away are a plus. So if every fixture from hereon in is a home win, this is how the table will end up. So the league table as at 27th June is:- Belle Vue +16 Wolves +8 Poole +6 King's Lynn +4 Swindon +1 Rye House 0 Somerset -8 Leicester -11 This shows that Belle Vue are streets ahead and will finish top. Their away form is tremendous with only 2 away defeats. As to the others, I think that's how it will end with Wolves, Poole and King's Lynn being the other qualifiers. Swindon have surprised most people, but they have run into bad luck with Doyle's injury and I think that will be too much to overcome. Rye House will probably be happy enough to win their remaining home matches and not lose anymore. Sadly for Somerset and Leicester they are fighting to avoid last place.Still a long way to go, but Belle Vue's signing of Tungate I think is a game changer, and one that wins them the league.
  8. Good god, I can't believe this, but I am about to defend Shovlar. What he is saying is that Wolves have a massive home advantage and Belle Vue don't, so overall the Aces are a much better team. Of course I don't necessarily agree with that view, but that is another discussion altogether.
  9. Don't assume that everybody wants to be on social media. In fact I have made a clear and conscious decision not to be on Facebook or similar media.
  10. For next time then. If you are in the sunbeam (hungry horse), walk down to train station. There is a subway in the left hand corner. Down the stairs and turn right. Keep walking straight till you come to the pub. Worth it.
  11. For those concerned that there isn't a thread. Wolves win and progress to next round. End of story. I am, though, looking forward to seeing Lambert ride, always a treat.
  12. Okay, explain how averages are preventing Janowski from riding in the UK
  13. Ellis and Starke should be booked now for every match that they are available for until Riss returns from injury
  14. As a Wolves fan I would like Freddie to win it, but if not I would be pleased for Doyle.
  15. Nonsense, nothing to do with averages. Doesn't want to ride here. Accept it.
  16. What about Schlein and Greaves, aren't they riding for Ipswich ?
  17. But my point is, I don't think we will see him riding for anyone.
  18. I know very little about this years regulations ! However taking the Championship starting averages from the confirmed signings thread, it shows mark Ross as 4.00. All that I can see that fits is :- Tom Perry 3.76 Richard Hall 3.53 Fritz Wallner 4.00 (whoever he is) Matt Williamson 3.58 So very little choice. Haven't got a clue what options there would be when the averages changed.
  19. What is the point ? Wolves have got Piotr Pawlicki as an asset after he rode 2/3 of season for us. He was brilliant, one of the best youngsters I've seen, particularly as a Pole getting round Monmore. However I doubt if we will ever see him in a Wolves race jacket. So where's the gain ?
  20. Hopefully that will give him less problems then.
  21. Swindon have surprised everyone with their performances to date. With respect Leicester have surprised no one.
  22. Does anyone know which hand Riss has injured ? Even when declared generally fit to ride, he may have problems if it is his clutch hand that has suffered the damage.
