Rye House V Wolves Saturday 15th July.

Lindgren has previously stated that Wolves don't pay the best, but they always pay. Hence the loyalty in both directions. As for the Aces didn't they outbid Swindon for Tungate ? I bet they wish they hadn't now.😀 -

My mistake I forgot about the Belle Vue match, but even then that was only by 2 points. With r/r a huge amount upon how Robson at reserve rides. Should certainly have no problem with Perks and Greaves and that is where our weakness lies........ -

You are unbeaten at home in the league at the moment, so no previous evidence to say that's going to change. Can any Rockets fan say how Ben Barker goes at Rye? Wouldn't have thought it was his type of track, as Monmore isn't. -
Yup, getting nervous now.

Crumbs! I didn't realise that you were using r/r for Doyle. Very good win. -
And mine as well.

When Kennett and Gomolski is the answer, it's a bloody stupid question. -

Looking like version A for the match report then. -
Because you are being deliberately provocative in the use of that term. And continue to use it. Troll.
-
Will you be laughing when ford sells the club and you become a total irrelevance as you were previously ? Or weren't you fan then ?

Whilst I can't agree with the language, I agree 100% with the sentiment. What ever again ? Jackass. What ever again ? Jackass.
-
Well you need to go for an eye test I would respectfully suggest.

Robbo is an expert at existing bend 4 on the kerb.

He wasn't last time.

You're looking forward to a meeting from a horror track ? Illogical, perhaps you should take some lessons in English comprehension.

I meant I would be happy with a 8-10 win, I'm not saying that's what it will be ! Our averages are too high already, I wouldn't want them to climb any higher.

Back in action after a week off. No teams on the Wolves web-site yet but should be at full strength apart from a guest for Mark Riss, who is confirmed as .................................................Ellis Perks. I believe this is the first match since Rye House made their team changes and who should they be facing but one of the riders they dropped. Funny old world speedway. Harris, Nicholls and Robson are acknowledged track specialists and of course Wells is an ex Wolf, plenty of experience there. Having said that the powers of Harris and Nicholls are waning, although Robson should still do well at reserve. To Rye fans I would say don't expect too much from Sedgman or in particular Barker, I don't think he would class Monmore as one of his favourites. Wolves are fairly well established in the play off positions, so an 8 to 10 point win is more than enough. The Wolves web site is intimating that Perks has a chance to make a stake for a permanent place as it is not really clear how long Mark Riss will be out for. At the moment, under the averages we can use Ellis, Starke and Perks, so that is not a bad choice, but maybe by the next set of averages the choice would be severely restricted, so perhaps that is the thinking in looking for a permanent signing.

The decent riders who can guest are Ellis, Starke and............Perks. Therefore I agree it is best to pick and choose on a match to match basis, ie from those available.

Is a medical certificate required ? If so Wolves should ask to see, or ride under protest. I have every sympathy with Swindon for their injury problems but this new scenario seems very dodgy. -

Yes, but the 'team' may have been 1-6, with just the no 7 being reserve. -

I first started going at the back end of 1967 and just remember the 1 reserve format. Two reserves seems to be a 'modern' invention but it's probably many decades old. Need a speedway historian. One of the early matches I attended at Monmore was against Swindon and I was rather annoyed that we couldn't beat some bloke called Briggs who won all 4 of his races. LOL.😂
