  1. Indeed it is, but we are talking about fractions of a second. And at 45 surely Crumpies reactions are not exactly the same as at 25 ? It can happen to the very best. In 1993 world champion Sam Ermolenko fell off at Monmore on own and broke his thigh. That along with the injuries to Graham Jones, Charlie Ermolenko and Ronnie Correy cost us the league title.
  2. I think the Wolves kerb is slightly raised, so shouldn't be ridden over ? I remember Coventry's was flat and on numerous occasions wondered whether a rider had both wheels over the 'white line' which obviously made it very difficult for the ref.
  3. Watching it at time I was very relieved that the other riders were all able to avoid Crumpie, could have been a lot worse. Surprised about Jason's injuries as he walked back to the pits, but these riders are tough. Get well soon Jason.
  4. Can't tell from the video, but could he have hit the kerb ?
  5. Well for me, that was an unexpected result. Unfortunately not many positives for Ipswich apart from Crump not getting injured when when he fell whilst leading in heat 13, luckily the other riders had their wits about them and avoided him. The foibles of speedway ehh ? Drew Kemp had a good points score of 6 , but the only rider he beat was Tom Bacon.
  6. Good win at Lynn, but most fans agree they look weak. We haven't had any home matches yet so will reserve judgement until we've had a couple of those.
  7. I have received an email to say that I can roll over the ticket for the Belle Vue. No action is required, only if you can't make the Sheffield match.
  8. Wolves as a team haven't had any official fixtures yet home or away. So for no other reason that that, home win.
  9. If you're a Sheffield fan, you may have a problem. Those who bought tickets for rained off belle Vue match are being given the option to roll over the tickets to the Sheffield match.
  10. I think that's wishful thinking, Harris has been on the slide for a few seasons now.
  11. I was at that meeting. Memory's fogged now but I think Grahame had taken 1 of the belle Vue riders to the fence. I was with a fellow Wolves fan and we said Wilkie will "sort" Grahame out, but it turned out that it was Mort who did.
  12. Masters hasn't signed elsewhere, he is Wolves bound.
  13. Whilst for us 1976 was disaster, in 1977 we signed a certain 16 year old Hans Nielsen. In the next 4 years we saw him go from an unknown reserve to No 1.
  14. Ahh I see, the NSS would be plenty wide enough but protection of the pitch would be paramount.
  15. Were there any stock car events at Hyde Road ?
  16. Will they ride at 1,3 and 5 or some other positions ?
  17. Sadly as a Wolves fan, I remember it only too well. In exchange for the World Champion we got, with respect, Jim McMillan and Tommy Johansson. However Johansson never turned a wheel for us and we ended using rider replacement all season. And whilst Olsen was allocated to Hull he never rode for them and ended up at our local rivals Coventry ! Screwed, I think, is the phrase !
  18. Have you got a timespan for long you intend to milk this ? If so I'll come back when you're finished.
  19. I didn't know about the stroke, so I apologise for the original comment and wish him the very best for the future.
  20. Sorry wrong quote, but I agree building 2 points below the points limit is almost a criminal offence.
  21. You are going off on a tangent, your original point was about signing 2 riders with potential who will eventually leave the UK scene. My point is that there is still benefit to the team till you reach that situation.
