  1. I think it was Batchelor who was being written off.
  2. Weather update. It has stopped raining and the ground is still a little wet. However, the sun is out and there are blue skies now. Feels a bit fresh with a little wind. If it stays like this, should be all systems go for tonight.
  3. I'm a mile from the stadium. It's been raining overnight and it's still raining but easing off.
  4. I managed to watch this live, and it was great. Thanks again.
  5. I believe the Drapers Arms (Wetherspoons Peterborough) has some good microwaved kids meals.
  6. Nothing to do with you Lisa. Keith Starmer Fan has, apparently had many previous meeting incarnations which can be called into question. To be fair 12 meetings in 14 days is a hell of a schedule. It's not the riding that does the riders in, but the travelling. The above schedule is very punishing
  7. Tommy, it's nothing to do with our thinking. The "planning committee" had assumed that the Panthers would finish top and asked them to choose. Unfortunately we have been picked. At the end of the day that assumption has proved to be correct. The Wolves statement is pure media guff to try and smooth things over with the public. However the public are not to be fooled. Panthers are overwhelmingly the favourites over 2 legs because of their Monmore specialists Harris, Andersen and Nicholls. Even Palm Toft is hard to beat IF he gates. Perhaps the return of Schlein will give the team a lift.
  8. At the beginning of the season no sane person would have said Ostergaard would end up as your no 1. No fan wants to see any rider injured but in truth you haven't been disadvantaged by it, quite possibly the reverse.
  9. I think a small win on Monday for the Wolves, due to the Adams factor, but the Panthers will seal an aggregate win at Alwalton fairly easily.
  10. Because they needed to ensure they had the points in the bag before starting the average manipuation. Lose at Sheffield, something unforseen happens in the home match, such as an injury, and top spot could have been endangered. As it is now take a 46-44 home win (more manipulation) and come out it smelling of roses.
  11. You mean like the Panthers last night against Sheffield ?
  12. Afraid not, Peterborough easily through to the final. Unfortunately Harris, Andersen and Nicholls are track specialists. On the other hand we are generally awful at Alwalton.
  13. Absolutely correct, this is just to fit in the scheduled play off dates and normal race nights. Oh well it was nice while it lasted. Belle Vue to win the title now.
  14. I expect a close 46-44 with a high scores for Pedersen/Nicholls but strangely lowish scores for Harris/Andersen.
  15. The Stars quite simply are not good enough to beat the Panthers. So once it is done we all await the Panthers choice of opponents. I think, despite the result of the B match, it will be Sheffield.
  16. 4 evenly matched teams ? You've changed your tune (panthers were going to romp it) However Panthers are still favourites, having the choice of opponents is still a very useful post advantage.
  17. "Final away at Wolves" is at the moment a bit presumptious, Belle Vue or Sheffield may have something to say about that. The Aces in particular seem to be running into a bit of form..........and I would be queasy facing them.
  18. Wolves will be needing another rider with Schlein retiring at the end of the season. Regarding the bigger picture, CVS has said he would not run again in a six team league.
  19. Blimey, in total agreement, just don't like Pedigree but Wainwright's is okay.
