I was told by a Aussie it was either Ron Henderson or Rod Hunter on a 0.5 average to show Archie the ropes and leave for a big hitting number one but have been sworn to secrecy who the No 1 will be.

I quite enjoyed watching barker on track last season as you never new what you would get on track and was a bit of an enigma and better equipment might of helped the cause. His off track antics did him no favours whatsoever but would I have him back it would be a no.However I would like to see Connor Mountain back in 2022

Pity MPT did not show as much enthusiasm for the Redcar Bears in the play offs -
Julie Lewis Meeting
soupy replied to Janice Jackson's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Julie was a lovely much appreciated Lady (with a capital L) who ran the speedway office when I first worked at Cleveland Park giving out rain-off tickets after people had come through the turnstiles in the mid 70's and she used to give me my 50pearnings in a small brown envelope at the end of the evening. She was there (with brother Jimmy who used to run the pitgate) through all the years I worked at Cleveland Park unfailingly until it closed. It was a great pleasure to find Julie back in charge of the office when the STMP/MPA reopened in 2006. She suffered no fools but was admired by all who knew her at Teesside/Middlesbrough/Redcar. I think she would be very pleased firstly that she was remembered so fondly and secondly that the meeting normally involves a junior aspect. Copied and pasted from Boothers on Redcar 2021 thread. -
You put in £50 a month and we take out £20 lol(only joking)

Well done Rob for saving the diamonds and whoever else are concerned.Great News and onwards and upwards. Let us all put the past behind us and move forward and everyone pulling in the right direction would be a big help.

Yes it was. Also a nice touch with the gift to Barry Wallace for the service to Newcastle Speedway.

Another sad day today with the passing of Dave Tattum and also could be the last ever for the Diamonds. RIP Dave Tattum and condolences to all family and friends and you will be sadly missed by all.

Probably have bigger fish to fry and as a neutral it was a poor meeting as Poole where not going to risk any injuries.
