I am presuming that this meeting will be run on 2 x 8 race semi finals, top 2 teams to the Final? The Final being over 12 races?

Kings Lynn v Poole Prem. 8th July 2019 BT Sports.
BobC replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done to Kings Lynn on their win. Never in doubt. Every team has a mare of a night, tonight it was Pooles turn. -
Decided not to comment other than to suggest you read the Plymouth forum regarding last night. Click on the link for Gladiators v Kent. Make your own minds up. http://plymouthdevils.proboards.com/thread/9919/gladiators-kent-fri-july-2019

What an absolute shambles. Perhaps a good job I have a 12hr shift at work today before giving my thoughts. By far and away the worst speedway meeting I have been to for many years. The track was dreadful. Downright dangerous. When a rider, Saul Bulley ends up with paid 5pts and not even beating anyone says it all. He simply poodled around at the back, with literally others falling by the wayside Severely testing my desire to return despite it being my nearest track, 45 mins drive away.

Brummies v Tigers, Scottish edition 3/7.
BobC replied to Col's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just watched it too. Needed to see what happened, as Bickley was in 2nd place as he went by me on turn 1. Due to lots of dust, the next thing I saw was the riders shooting down the back straight with Bickley 4th! The dust really was a problem, Ok on lap 1, not so good on lap 2, and then had to wait and see who came out where by the pits after that. Shame as it spoilt a decent meeting. What on earth is going on regarding souvenirs? Very poor, even by NL standards. -
Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem. 4/7/19
BobC replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know the question has already been asked, but did the riders complain to anyone about it? No track remedial work took place, so I can only gather from that, they didnt. The referee did come over to bend 3,which delayed the start by a few minutes, but only to check out the air fence. -

Strange all this hole business. I stand on bend 3 and didnt notice anything out of the ordinary before the start. In view of recent criticism of the track, I was looking for anything untoward. The track had been well watered so maybe the hole was hidden under the damp top surface? Certainly not evident from the outside. The Lynn riders were on the 1st turn while I was looking. Ive seen the video posted by Cook. Its obvious they found it. Yet,strangely, not one rider bucked or got out of shape while riding across it. Many times throughout the meeting, riders were riding a very tight inside line, so would have been ridden right through where they found it. Ask Holder and MPT in their terrific battle. Onto the Cook incident. I look directly down the back straight in a straight line towards the pits. For my money, Cook seemed very intent on pushing Josh out, as you would expect. However, he just didnt leave him any room to stay up. I didnt notice anything that would suggest he was thrown of course. We will just have to wait and see if ReRun post the incident. We will have take Josh's word about the incident. We all see things differently. -

Belle Vue v Poole Monday 1/7/19 BT Sports
BobC replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Really is quite laughable some of these replies! I am a Kyle Bickley fan. In fact, I sponsor him. I know him and his family quite well. In my opinion, if scores any points at all, he should consider it a job well done. I actually wish for him to score loads of points and Poole to win. Perfect! -

Before a wheel had been turned, there was the Lawlor sacking. No disrespect intended, but that has turned out to be a blessing. I think Glasgow's impressive season is down to signing Kyle. Ok, hes had a few not so good meetings. However did anyone, in all honesty, expect to see him scoring so freely? I have been pleasantly surprised by some of his scores, turning close results into wins for the Tigers. Long may it continue. -

Make that a 17 year old. When you have just beaten your nearest and most bitter rivals, all too easily it seems, why not enjoy the moment? Its only tongue in cheek, after all. -
David Wallinger Ludicrous situation.
BobC replied to Fortythirtyeight's topic in National League Speedway
David had a frightening crash on Friday at Plymouth. Happened right in front of where I stand. Very very lucky he wasnt run over. Clipped Atkins back wheel just after start line, then face planted the track at high speed.Took a while to sort him out.Knocked out cold. Concussion, so means he is unlikely to ride this coming week. 9 days,I believe. Unlucky start for him, but looked fast. Fingers crossed he is back sooner rather than later. -
Yes, in Gilt and Silver. £4.50 Best contact the club directly.

Not a bad meeting at all. Well done to the Colts, a thoroughly deserved team effort. I found it very strange to have an interval, track grade and watering while it was raining! That made the track greasier that it needed to be as Phillips spun round and then Clouting locked up and left the track. Riders going in all directions. Following Ht1, where Kemp came off twice, all his own doing in my opinion, one guy constantly booed Phillips for the rest of the night for being a dirty rider. Even cheering when he came off on bend 1.Very childish. I know Jenkins came off in Ht3 and was lucky to escape without serious injury to continue, but he worries me. Almost every meeting Ive seen him in,he has taken a fall. Not living up to early career promise. If he has gone for a check up at the hospital, I wish him well. I dont like to see injuries to ANY rider, whatever their level or ability. I travelled up to support the Colts,so left there very pleased they got through. Wasnt expecting an away win, especially as my own favourite rider,Kyle Bickley, had a nightmare with bike issues all night. If they can win away when one of their 'big hitters' has an off night, look out the rest if this team all hit form at the same time! Some decent races, especially when Flint and Rowe met. Both giving their all. Good to see they both left each other the room to race. Cant fault the Kings team spirit though as Mulford came out for a race on Ledwiths bike. Bring on those Cradley Heathens! Much easier to get to there from Torquay!

Brother of Richard. Also, he spells his name as Kris. Also rides for Exeter in the SDL/MDL League. Not a bad meeting. Track didnt appear any different to before. Almost as dusty, but not quite. Still needs work, in my opinion. Not often do you see a 'blue groove' all the way round the circuit. Yes, even the straights! Meeting was won and lost by Woods unfortunate bike problems. Harsh to blame him as he was good to watch. Others do need to look at their performances. Both Wood and Morley did as expected. One rider to single out on the Warriors side is Connor King. Rode and worked hard for every point, coming from the back on several occasions. Not often you see away reserves doing that. Well done that man. For me, the highlight of the meeting was the form of Adam Extance. Ive really enjoyed watching him emerge this season. He even led Morley (as tac sub) and Wood for a while before succumbing to their pressure. Ran out of steam in the end, but an excellent performance all the same.

Plymouth fans are not allowed to make comments that show the promotion in a not so good way. You get told off! I was rebuked for posting the link on the Plymouth forum on Stokes website about the potential changes. Apparently I was spreading unnecessary gossip! I also felt that a post on Facebook was also aimed at me for posting photos of the track on Friday. You really needed to see it to believe it. I also took some video on my mobile, but only posted to certain people. They only want positive posts, nothing negative, otherwise you are contributing to their downfall. I understand that. Do it properly then we cant make adverse comments! I have also mentioned, more than once, that the Club website is one of the worst in British Speedway. When things are good, I am more than happy to post about them. Whilst not happy to do when things are not going right, I do feel it is right to do so. I will continue in that vein. After all, as a paying customer, I feel I should have the right to comment. I kept my re admission ticket from Fridays debacle,if only for one reason. I am seriously considering my options as to whether I will continue going every week. I dont want my memories tainted by Friday. I want to go on Friday, as its the IOW. They have a promotion that go above and beyond to get things right. I will see how I feel on the day. I sincerely hope Plymouth have learned a big lesson from Friday. For their own sake.

I popped along for my first meeting at Poole this season. Not a classic by any means. Little atmosphere or enthusiasm. Id estimate the crowd to be around the 1000 mark. Poor by Poole standards. As for the track, I have seen far worse this season elsewhere! Heard from one of the track guys that they put down the last 3 digger buckets of shale they had left. I thought it was common knowledge that the track work was starting today? Clearly lots of work to be done before the next home meeting. Ive got more than my fingers crossed that they get it right. The only real positive for me was seeing lots of friends that I havent seen for a while. .

Where does he think riders like Morley,Wood, etc get enough money to keep their machines in tip top condition? I think that type of statement brings the sport into disrepute. I hope some sort of apology is issued or some punishment dished out to him. Disgraceful.

I didnt go, but so good to read good reports from the meeting. Two evenly matched sides going for it, makes for a good night out. Well done both teams.

Middle of June and I have seen Poole race in person just once. Years ago, I wouldnt have missed even a single meeting. Did that for around 25-30 years. Last week I had intended going to 4 meetings in as many days. Incredibly, there would have been 7 guests! Complete and utter madness. I accept injury cover, but I do want to watch each teams declared riders racing where possible. None of this 'because his Swedish,Polish,Danish' club needs him. WE need him. Get out of the FIM. End of. Poland seem to be pulling all the strings. That makes everyone else their puppet. Cut the strings then they have no one to manipulate. They wanted Sundays, they got it.Now they want every other day as well. So do Sweden and Denmark. UK now has so little speedway on days when the fans can freely attend, home or away. We dont need the so called 'big names'. Well, at least they dont need us, so get rid. The Provincial League did it all back in 1960 and arguably saved British Speedway. We want our declared 1-7 to be there week in week out. Give us back OUR teams. All the others get theirs, but not us. British Speedway is being raped by the Polish lead FIM. We need to stand up and be counted. Neil Vatcher, grow a pair and stand up for British Speedway. Stuff them.
