  1. Looks like I will be over a fair few times. Good luck with everything you do.
  2. Gorgeous morning here in Poole, just yards from the stadium. Going to be good to get back inside the stadium and see some action.
  3. Steve, we use the park and ride and walk the short distance. Its free parking. The business parks there are for limited times, do not park there. Come off the Expressway by Sainsburys, go right, under the flyover, but keep in left hand lane. When you see McDonalds, go past, and then turn left at the lights. Keep straight on, dont turn right. Car park on left. OR you can pay £2 and park inside the stadium! See you there.
  4. Kent v Poole rearranged for 27th July, I believe.
  5. Got my refund, without even asking. Fair play to them.
  6. The only thing that really annoys me about this is the fact they let me buy a ticket for the Poole meeting at 8pm last night.. Im sure they would have already made their decision and should have closed this facility down. I will be asking for a refund.
  7. Im not a fan of Hans, tbh. However, I do agree with you on this.
  8. Really enjoyed the meeting. Very well organised regarding covid, although I still think its way over the top. The Poole management obviously burnt the midnight oil to organise everything. Well done on that. First time this season that Ive seen our new team. Some work to do with Keleher and Hume to get them up and running. That said I thought Hume really got stuck in his last ride. The points will come. Ive been a fan of Bickley for a few years. Smashing family too, always made me welcome when we meet up. Last night was probably the most polished performance Ive seen from him. Quick from the tapes, stylish and fast. Even though Flint scored more points, I thought Kyle was the best Berwick rider. I went home with a big smile. Well organised entry and exit to the stadium. Poole won led by the impressive Steve Worrall and the big wow factor in Ben Cook .Kyle had a good meeting. Yep, one very satisfied supporter. Oh and by the way, thanks SS for help with the tickets. Very much appreciated.
  9. At Plymouth last night, they didnt have enough tyres to issue 14 for each side. Berwick were only given 11 tyres. I assume, in order to be fair, Plymouth only had 11 as well? Anlas are picking up the bill until replacement tyres with a different compound are available..
  10. All absolutely fine at Plymouth last night! Other than people social distancing on the terraces and wearing masks while moving around, you would never know there was a pandemic. No problem at the food outlet either! Good atmosphere, interesting racing. Couple of nasty crashes for both Etheridge and NBJ, who twice went under the air fence. Hope they are both ok for tonight. At Poole the riders have times to go into the pits, come back out, let others go in, then have to come back out again! Be interesting to see how this scenario works out. Way over the top. Hoping for a Poole win of course.
  11. A few exceptions, but largely gate n go. Gating was paramount. The scores from gate positions tells its own story. When Plymouth had 1&3, they out scored Berwick by 26-16. Berwick outscored Plymouth by 22-20. Then of course a Plymouth 5-1 in Ht15. Having your 2 best riders come off on the first turn, didnt help. NBJ ended up under air fence twice while Etheridge had a nastier looking fall. You could see that they both didnt look as fast in their remaining rides. I thought Jye had been brought off. Dont know where Bowtell got his form from. Never seen that from him before, at this level. Flint was largely anonymous, apart from one blinding start. Bickley was at least on the pace and gave Pedersen a run for his money. Although looking over his shoulder one way, while BP went the other wasnt a good look.. If he could get out of the starts the points will be there. I think Plymouth need to be a little worried, tbh. The 'big two' only won 3 races between them last night. Bowtell isnt going to score like that every week and he won 3 races on his own! Unless at least one rider steps up each week, its going to be a problem.
  12. All details and match report here. https://plymouth-speedway.com/gladiators-draw-in-last-heat-decider/
  13. I was at the meeting. Bacon gated like lightening in 3 of his rides, looked untouchable .Didnt gate in 1 race and came 3rd. A few of us were very surprised that Heeps was named. He was largely anonymous. All Bacon had to do was gate and mess the Plymouth pair up and let Scott go. In my opinion, Kent lost it, while Plymouth gained.
  14. Its great to see Anders progress. Saw him at Weymouth when his feet barely touched the ground, even on the mini bikes! A slightly awkward style, which maybe Crumpie can help him with? Smashing lad and I always make sure he and his Dad know Im there when hes racing. Made a very strong start to 2021.Hope he continues to look, learn and listen.
  15. Dont like losing to Eastbourne at all, so consider it a moral victory. I will happily take an away point from this meeting. . Ok, we got a little lucky with Brennans problems, but thats not our fault. All our lads had a least one good ride each which is encouraging. Very pleased with Danyon Humes performance. Ive liked watching him in the NL and even more pleased that hes at Poole. For RS to score 5pts there is a great effort. Not many will do that. Encouraging start.
  16. Yes they are. Busy practicing right now at 4pm. 'Now thats what I call music', well to my ears at least! Moved back to Poole on Thursday and live close to the stadium.
  17. Just to add some balance to your comments in red. Eastbourne wanted to report Poole for tyre issues. They were going ahead with it until they found out some of their riders had done exactly the same!
  18. Ive heard that the proposed new date for this meeting is 6th July. Weve had rain all week down here since the last rain off. This afternoon, the sun comes out! Forecast is dreadful for Tuesday though. Really feel for Mark and his team. Hes worked so hard to do everything right. Hes done s great job. Just needs a little help from the weather Gods.
  19. As has been said, Mx got stopped by the local housing group. The leader of that group? None other than former Poole Co-Promoter Terry Chandler!
  20. Whoever has decided this is the way forward has, in my opinion, got it completely wrong. I would urge those that do make them look at the way Plymouth have done it. It is so, so simple and from personal experience, very effective. Not going down well with those Ive spoken to either.
  21. Trust me, I dont! Always take my own food. Only ever buy a hot drink if I want one. More expensive. but better food at John Davis van on turn one.
  22. Thats for the Premiership teams, not the Championship.
