  1. Tbh, a bit non-plussed with this team right now.
  2. Well Jack needs to take a reality check himself. Looking at life through a bottle is the major cause of his problems. Just like his elder brother.
  3. A larger than life character. Genuinely nice chap. Bit loud and brash, but a heart of gold. RIP Noddy.
  4. Dont wish any illness on anyone, especially this time of year. Best Wishes for a speedy recovery.
  5. What a great advert for NL racing. The scoreline doesnt reflect the effort put in by Eastbourne. It was a lot tighter all the way through. I was there cheering on the Colts, but especially Kyle Bickley. What a time to get your 1st ever maximum! He was absolutely superb all night, although his HT10 crash was very scary. He even considered riding in Ht15! Currently off to hospital for a check over. One of the first people to check on Kyle, other than paramedics, was Mildenhalls Jon Armstrong, who was helping Drew Kemp Introduced to Phil the Ace and Rob B.Good to put faces to names. Next time Im up there, the drinks are on me! Sat with HalifaxTiger and also got some opinions from Kelly Armstrong! Well done to the Eastbourne fans, who despite their obvious disappointment were very sporting throughout. Bailey in particular rode so hard for little reward. Deserved more points. Same goes for Luke Woodhull. Even Paul Bowen got stuck in. A thoroughly enjoyable nights racing.
  6. Overcast, but dry. Lets have a hard fought but fair battle. C'mon you Colts!
  7. As Perton Wolf says, I am referring to Club fixtures, be that Pairs,4tt Cup and League, plus Riders Championship Finals too. I would never want to hold a rider back in his quest to better himself, but not at his Club/sponsors expense. World Champs, Internationals, U21 team or individual are fine.
  8. Well, a 54-36 wins looks convincing enough for the Devils. They looked good on the night and did their jobs, but have come away thinking its a strange scoreline. In Heat one, Roynon leading by the proverbial mile, crashes just before the finish line, but goes over line for the win.Bates in 2nd laid it down. From my angle opposite the start, I didnt think he had, but referee Reeve awarded him the win.A tad lucky in one respect, but very unlucky in another. Its been reported that he has broken his collarbone, although he did continue on the night to secure 2 more race wins before suffering a tapes exclusion in Ht13. Roynon: See above Andrews: Looked very fast and worked hard. R/R (Compton) 9+3 Paid Max, which is probably more than he would have scored Atkins: Superb. Probably his best night of the season. Carr: Excellent guest. O'Keefe: Steady and picked up points when others made errors. Walker: Good solid reserve score. Bates: Solid Ht1, but 2 x exc for 2mins not helping. R/R;(Halsey) 4+1 easily less than he would have scored. Jenkins: 2 falls in first 2 rides cost him dearly. Got his act together in the end with some excellent riding. Talented for sure. Spooner: Out of his depth in the 1-5. Armstrong: Only came to the party once the track slickened off Verge: Not on the pace at all,but understand it was his return from injury. Kemp: Excellent. Apart from one race when he and Andrews seemingly pulled up only to get going again. Red light in crowd apparently. On an difficult track, a sunny day, not watered enough, although understanable, slickened off by Ht10. The next five races were all gate n go. Had either any of Compton,Mountain or Halsey ridden, the result would have been totally different. All if buts and maybes of course. I'll take the 18 point lead, but Devils needed more points, they just didnt kill things off in the later races. With all 3 heat leaders out of the return on Sunday, 2 of them Boxall and Roynon are track specialists, will make things very hard. I understand that Ben Morley guests for Roynon. Good luck to the Devils on Sunday. They are going to need it.
  9. Please note: The local paper in Plymouth is advertising this meeting as taking place on Saturday. Please note it is taking place TODAY FRIDAY 6th October.
  10. Not read the whole thread, but surely there is one very simple solution. Anyone who needs a visa, MUST sign to say that the British club that sponsors them, will be their priority over any other fixtures, worldwide. Dont sign, no visa. Before anyone says about restrictive trade, etc, Poland do it, so why cant we?
  11. Best of luck to the Colts tonight. Hope they go on to win and complete a League and Cup double.
  12. The BIG one! The weather couldnt be any better for this time of year. Beautiful sunny day. The Final is FINALLY here. Plymouth last rode in this competition on 22nd June at Swindon! I know and accept there are a lot of complications that have led to this bizarre situation. Typical of British Speedway. After all but going out of business last season, the Devils have a great opportunity to grab some silverware . It would be rather fitting to win something for us, the long suffering fans. I dont always agree with our Promotion, but at the very least they DO answer any questions put to them.Sometimes its not what you want to hear, sometimes funny, sometimes deadly serious. No matter what is asked, it is ALWAYS answered. Very refreshing in todays climate. Of course, I am hoping for a good score from the Devils, the more the merrier before the return on Sunday. Its such a shame (genuine) that there are guests for both sides tonight. Mildenhall have been hit by Mountains withdrawal, and cant get a suitable guest. Matt Bates comes in at the last minute, with all due respect, isnt the same points machine that Connor has become. R/R for Halsey. Devils have Liam Carr replacing Boxall, with R/R for Compton. Followed by an SDL meeting too, all for just £10. Bargain! Teams as copied and paste from the Plymouth forum, see link below. TEAMS : Plymouth : 1. Adam Roynon 9.67 2. 14. Hard to truly say, but I tend to think Lindgren being at fault from that footage.
  15. Best of luck to the Colts. If they cant win, keep it tight and finish the job at the NSS.
  16. Genuine question. Has any Club ever won a double double? Aces could win the League and Cup Double (as can Wolves, btw) while the Colts are in line for both as well. Unusual situation.
  17. The overall result was never going to be anything other than a Swindon win. Congratulations to the Robins, fully deserved. No good any Poole fans trying to make any excuses. Kurtz, Andersen and Shanes all worked hard for their points, but 3 men cant possibly win. Even when Poole took the lead it was more by bad luck for the Robins than anything else. You just knew they could step things up a gear, while Poole couldnt. Only thing that made me smile was the form of BWD. Not a fan of his, but it sure was a 2 fingered salute to Rosco for not including him on Friday and costing the Robins a chance of a League and Cup double. Hoping that the Aces get through to the Final. If they do, I will be there to cheer them on!
  18. Well done to Swindon.Never really in doubt. Score flatters Poole a fair bit,but hey ho,not our time. Too many passengers.
  19. Parked up and ready to go.No rain here, just damp. Up the Pirates! :-)
  20. Not raining in town centre.Heavy mist and damp, but no rain since 8am.
  21. Dont discount Ellis. He was flying on Friday at Belle Vue. A good bike length clear by the first turn. Probably the best Ive ever seen him. Just hoping for a decent meeting to finish of a superb weekend of racing. Hoping for a Pirate win, if not go down fighting.
  22. Hans is far from being a favourite of mine.To be fair to him, he is ALWAYS the first to congratulate others as was shown at Poole in the P/O v Swindon. Last night at BV,he was always looking at track conditions and advising others. Anyone would think it was his own team that just beat Swindon the way he celebrated. First rider on track to welcome Bjerre and Cook back after their heroics. Worth far more than the 5+3 he scored. There wont be anyone at Blunsdon on Monday with a bigger or prouder smile than Hans if Poole win. See you there on the back straight! :-)
  23. Really enjoyed my first visit to the NSS. Ok, so the track wasnt in the best condition, but did provide some good racing. Bjerre got filled in in Ht1, otherwise was excellent. Worrall seemed to be riding a 250cc, going backwards not forward. Unlucky with a chain breaking on the last bend while 3rd. Andersen was always up to something, protecting his partner with some expert elbow work! Tungate same as Andersen, always up there making life awkward. Cook rode his socks off and got a huge cheer when securing the vital points in Ht15 Bewley was awesome, totally belying his age and experience. Easily MoM. Hopwood outclassed. Kurtz disappeared after a storming Ht1 Ellis easily the best Robin. Got a couple of fliers, but looked very quick. Musielak started slowly, but got going in the end. Bellego, Ht14 apart, didnt turn up Morris always in the mix making life uncomfortable for the Aces riders. THJ....nuff said, waste of space. Carr steady but ineffective, Of course, with Doyle it may well have been different. Same goes for BWD. But it wasnt, so very well done Aces, great job tonight. Best of luck in the Final and in the upcoming Play offs v Wolves. Swindon are almost certain to beat Poole, so unless there a major shock, I hope you do the double.
  24. Lots of fans here trackside grumbling about the situation re BWD and THJ. Very damp, lots of track work taking place, but just about to start. Just for tonight I am an Aces fan! :-)
