  1. Maybe I'm reading too much into things but does anyone else think the promotion have the other 4 members of the team already signed, just not announced. The road we're going down seems to suggest (to me at least) that we will have Bewley, Lunna and Smith as 3 of the next 4.
  2. Was only one teams riders doing all the retiring though ;-) .......which kinda tells you all you need to know
  3. Just my opinion but i'd say the track was totally fine (when i say fine, it was wet, but not much standing water on the track) I just think that one team wanted it more than the other. You had a few Workington riders chucklng it after less than a lap if they didn't gate.
  4. I thought that as well, looked like he had read the advice people were putting up on here. Wasn't over riding, trying too hard just nice and relaxed I was waiting for him to mess up a corner but it never happened. I thought the track was almost too good which makes for fast times but not great racing. I'm happy we won but the lack of passing slightly concerns me but that might just have been the quality of the opposition
  5. They got it wrong, its Robert Branford and not Dan Bewley tonight
  6. Agreed it wasn't the best match to watch, track was pretty slick and times were over a second slower than we usually have.
  7. Barker Out Rene Bach In https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway/photos/a.722111727804017.1073741829.695900720425118/1361994643815719/?type=3&theater
  8. I'm starting to get slightly concerned with Barker, just from watching him he just doesn't look fast at all. I dunno what is wrong but hopefully he get's it sorted. I dunno if his machine problems are anything to with the fact he's using Jawa's, only other rider i've seen using one is Lasse Bjerre. I just assume there is a reason most riders use GM's. Didn't George ride his own engines ? I know he had a JSR which i thought stood for Jiri Stancl Racing, i might be wrong though.
  9. I dont mind the entrance but i have curbed buying food in the stadium, i'll not bore you all to death but the quality has gone down since the start of last season but the price has remained the same. Agree with the comments about viewing on the back straight, i did move from my usual spot on Sunday to just off the 2nd bend just where the riders come out the pits and the view from there was really good.
  10. Yeah my heart sank when i see Redcar had signed Jonas B Andersen.
  11. It will happen i'm pretty sure of that, i wouldn't be surprised if they take as far as the courts. Will make boycotting Armadale a doddle ;-)
  12. I'd be inclined to say the Monarchs are just a much better team thus why we looked totally rubbish
  13. One rider with an average above the guy missing (in this case Morris) and anyone below (Palovaara, Sargeant & Stichauer)
  14. Cheers for clearing that up. On Kauko's recent form it probably does make us slightly better i suppose.
  15. Are we allowed a guest ? I'd prefer to see 7 v 7 but i can see why Edinburgh wouldn't be too happy if we got one
  16. At least give us a small glimmer of hope ;-) It would make financial sense as i'm sure your aware.
  17. I wish i shared your optimism. i can only see us getting totally annihilated sadly. I'll still be there on Saturday though.
  18. It's only fair that Edinburgh get to host the 2nd leg, they did finish top after all and they deserve to have all the other perks that go with that, (bumper crowd/extra cash & more that likely winning it in front of their own fans.
  19. Hopefully the final won't be as close as this afternoon was, my nerves won't be able to handle it. Edinburgh should win it as we're just not good if i am being honest. Palovaara was just a passenger today and we cant expect Sarjeant to bail us out like he did today. Even though the score was close the racing wasn't really up to much, if you gated you had a pretty good chance of staying ahead. Regarding Ht 2, the balls up the ref made really helped us although Andersen was miles behind the Glasgow pair when Ayres fell.
  20. Yeah when the Monarchs were in the city centre at Powderhall, I'm sure Armadale being a lot closer to Glasgow is the problem, but i stand to be corrected
  21. Your totally right but from what i've witnessed this year the owners will do whatever is best for the business. for example, I'm sure they would get more of the hospitality boxes booked out if they were racing at night at the weekend.
  22. I heard way in April/May that Glasgow had been flooded with offers from other riders wanting to ride for us in 2016. I kinda hope we also try and move the race day, Sundays suit me fine but the racing we had at the night time meetings we're much better, i assume thats why the floodlights were put in but i might be wrong. As for who i'd keep and like in the team for next year, Summers and Lawson for defo, i'd love to have Josh back and maybe get Richie Worrall he seems to ride our place well.
  23. Was a bit surprised how bad Hansen and Simota were. I know Simota won Ht 14 but I'm sure i recall him scoring decent points at Ashfield on previous visits.
  24. Only caught the 2nd half of the meeting on the telly last night but well done Edinburgh, Riss was the matchwinner for them but all of the top 4 rode really well and when Masters is back thats an amazingly strong top 5.
