Leigh Adams Testimonial
iceandspeedway replied to BigFatDave's topic in International World of Speedway
If you look at the team places in the pl available, apart from Redcar who ride on same night as Swindon who he has already signed justin as one of the reserves , his only other option looks to be maybe plymouth. Unless there is some last minute developments from the bspa for new aplications to the pl, it looks like Justin will end up riding in the El .Justin has a average of just over 6 points in the pl so difficult to see where he could fit in Nothing to do with silly money being asked nor swindon making life difficult, both parties want to have justin in the Pl, just a sad state that some one will intially miss out but come 1 month in to the season can see one or two teams chasing his signature. -
Wildcards 2010
iceandspeedway replied to WembleyLion's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i predict.....freddie lindgren, hans andersen, antonia lindback, then a british rider not that any british deserves a place on past performances but if anyone tia woffinden, 5th spot brave move by authorites darcy ward, purely from a youthful racer,. outsider matej zager surely 2010 wont be as boring series than 2009 -
Congratulations leigh on bowing out with pride and superb performance, sadly missed next year in the GP. CONGRATULATIONS TO Jason Crump worthy world champion, and sucha nice gesture t comment on the retiring Leigh Adams. both a credit to the sport. I was goingint to also cogratulate Tomas Gollob but since he spat his dummy out andparked his bike on the track to stop a race.. you are a discrace and wont happen but love to see the book thrown at him for his actions but what ever fine he gets will be pea nuts to him.

Hopefully 2010 will see Mr Swindon speedway back with the Robins as well as returning to his Polis and Swedish clubs. THANK YOU MR LEIGH ADAMAS, will be interesting to see if he receives anything form the authorities today in recognition of his GP efforts. makes the wildcard entries even more interesting and which British rider will get the nod if any?????? goT to be TIA WOFFINDEN,

Gp Challenge

congrats to Noddy holder, a new rider to next years series, dont expect a repeat of the emil results but a great addition, regards the wild card nominee,s now very intersting and no Brits in the field originally cant see one rider who is good enough to be picked, very sad for British speedway but time to add to the agenda for the next bspa meeting what can we do for the future to get Britian back , my suggestion for starters is bring in some test matches both here and abroad for experience at least . My nominees next year would be and call me biased.. Leigh Adams, matej zager, hans andersen, antonio lindback, outsiders.. tia woffinden, purely because of the no brits in the GP,PLease no more nichols and Harris had there chances and done nothing to enhance the Gp series this years table is a embarrassement to British speedway. Time for the GP SERIES TO start to deliver raceable tracks too. -

LEAVE THE OLD BOY ALONE, who cares wher he is in respect to the meeting, his mistakes comments and errors have been the most entertaining aspect of the gp series so far this year, certainly hasnt been the racing -

Swc Final 2009
iceandspeedway replied to Chivs's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well i read same thing but if thats the case coventry havnt got the final, maybe a good thing for Britian as we have a lot of catching up to do if we are to even qualify for the latter stages. tIME FOR BRITISH SPEEDWAY TO TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK AT ITSELF.. route of the problem , Elite league i coounted in the Speedway Star just 18 British riders in the Elite league who where british and this included the number 8,s too. Time for some International seriess england v australia,at both top leval and u21,poland here and abroad, sweden, denmark. also bring back 2nd halves to at least encourage some youngsters to have a stab against the big boys, more accademy teams in the elite league. -

stop blaming the track.. were not good enough. simply as that sadly -
takes a lot for a man made track to be good for speedway.. yep spectacular events for all the wrong reason but not true racing, falls, riders firing off turns in all sorts of directions, crazy manoveres of world class guys fighting the conditions to stay up right, think crumpie was dead right cardiff ids for the fans and the atmosphere for the riders its just one of night mares. then to cap it all we have back the dodgy ref, how many times does that man take control of the gp events and turn it into a circus unless we have a new FIM directive " a rider who is hit from behind will be excluded for getting in the riders way" I had been going to Cradiff but after Gothenborg and the farcical track didnt bother as if i wanted to see moto x id go there and Cardiff became a lottery by a track and a clown of a referree. congats to Crumpie on the win commiserations to the rest especially Adams and Bjarne Pedersen.

only bother now to watch the start line girls, lost interest in the series already, such a tradegy for British speedway both Nichols and harris non qualifiers again, oh well Britsh GP next surely one can get a top 8 place at least, not that ill be bothering to go.
