I feel the same, if they are going to let any nation go straight into the final then it should be the holders. Like Mattk says it is just to make sure the final has a good crowd in as the home fans will know that their nation will be in it.

Can you turn up and get tickets on the day? Also does anyone know how much it will cost, I am guessing it will be a nice tidy some in total.

Great news I am sure there would be people in the Tamworth area that would support the side, shame the old track went all those years ago.

Seems strange to change the date last minute but then again I guess it is Speedway haha! Does anyone know what the team lineups are? What time does it start? I think Czechs will be the favourites even with Franc and Hynek not in the team.

I have seen better meetings at Stoke but it was not to bad there was some passing and close racing. Crowd wise I thought there would be more, but was quite a few on the front straight and then along the back straight in the cars.

Was a great meeting last night, I was in the car on the back straight as it was pretty nippy to say the least!! Should of known as last season in the summer it always seems a little colder there! Great racing Garrity was a deserved winner some great passing, going out wide and his typical never giving up style. Ashley Morris looked good too, infact all the lads did well did not mess about and got straight on with it. Not a bad crowd as well despite the cold weather.

Cheers FSP I will be looking at the updates through the year once more. Hope Finland do well in the SWC Qualifying, also I hope it is them that will ride at the British round so I get to cheer them on again

There are some amateur meetings at Scunthorpe during the winter months. I have been to a couple and to be honest the racing is pretty good. Hi guys, I wondered if anyone had any more information on this as I saw on the website all it said was a "amateur meeting" also with Team Viking being there and it was free to watch. Does anyone know what time it starts and also what riders will be there? Cheers

Good luck with bringing Tamworth back, living in Atherstone it would be great to see a team just down the road. I have got some old Tamworth programmes as well from back in the day. Good luck on Friday

I was going to buy my ticket from the speedwaygp website. It put me through to seetickets.com and I just wondered if anyone else has used these and how long it takes for the tickets to come as it is only a couple weeks away now.

I remember hearing Russia wanted to hold one but probably not till 2010. I guess Norway would be a no goer as Holta is now a Pole and there no top riders sadly there anymore.
