  1. Shape of the track for me, reminds me a bit of the football pitch type tracks of Berwick and the old Derwent Park at Workington, long narrow straights and tight radius corners have riders queuing up to enter the corners
  2. Becker so far riding like it's the first time he's seen the track
  3. Yep it's worrying, been thinking the same myself the past few weeks, I know a few people that used to go to Derwent Park but have never attended a meeting at Northside, how do we get them back?
  4. Glad I just got in and watched it back, skipped through it in 15 mins flat, garbage track produced garbage racing.
  5. Was expecting that, a combination of the points deficit to make up, and the fact that season tickets couldn't be used will have kept a few away.
  6. Watching it back a few times I've changed my mind, looked out of control from one of the angles but Madsen did take him out
  7. if riders are tied for a position in a Speedway GP round, the countback system is used, with the rider registering the most race wins ranked highest. If they are tied on race wins, seconds, then thirds and fourth places are taken into consideration – with a fourth place deemed better than a retirement or disqualification. If this does not resolve the tie, the rider who scored the most points in the race or races when the tied riders met is placed highest. If the riders are still deadlocked, the rider with the highest FIM ranking out of the tied riders is placed highest Can't be bothered looking back through the scorecard, they must've reached option 4 by the sounds of it.
  8. Sad but true, it amazes me that Cardiff can still get around 20k, for a lot of 'supporters' it must be the only speedway meeting they actually attend during the year.
  9. Nowhere near as many people will go to Manchester as Cardiff, it's not really a 'weekend away' place is it?
  10. It was rubbish, again. Each heat pretty much all over before the end of lap 1.
  11. Haven't attended for over ten years now, if you're there with a few beers on board and taking in the atmosphere it can seem good, but in the cold light of day it's very average. Even the fireworks are getting fewer and fewer with every year, hardly worth bothering with them now going by that 'display'.
  12. Fast and furious, but lets face it, the racing was crap
  13. There's no denying that he's the man you need on your side when the chips are down, proved it several times this season
