  1. Doesn't mean anything in my mind. Wolves have won the League fixture against the Rebels 56-32 and 62-28 so tonight was just a continuation of a poor performing team at Monmore... Will be much much tighter on Monday.
  2. I think there's a few Aces fans that are hoping he will fly out Saturday morning... That's not to say he will. Just hopeful. Doyle has a lot more riding on the GP so don't blame him one bit being there and well prepped.
  3. May as well get this one kicked off with a week to go. I see a very close scoreline over 2 legs. Think BV need an 8 point home win to have a good chance. Anything more than an 8 point win and I'd fancy us. Anything less and I'd expect Wolves to win it.
  4. Yep, was just going to mention this. I don't really get what Swindon benefit from this IF BWD is 100% fit. At #3 last time out at Poole he beat KK, Worrall, Holder, Starke and Shanes. At reserve tonight (if he was 100% fit) I would have expected him to score very well...
  5. The way I see it is this... Poole sacked him and now you're running scared.
  6. Hoping this goes ahead as looking forward to watch some speedway on the tv tonight. Track man will have his work cut out though, some very heavy showers heading Poole's way. Hopefully the strong wind will help to dry it out quickly as each shower passes. Think it could be a really close meeting, I'll go for a draw.
  7. KK looked dreadful in his first heat whereas Barker looked fast. I'd have given the T/R to Barker as well! As it was, KK was a little silly in not conceding to Barker for the additional point coming off the 3rd/4th bend.
  8. Bewley's injury the difference between a point and 0 points tonight but hey ho... Need to try get a little home momentum now on Weds and Fri heading in to the playoffs...
  9. Any word on why Bjerre pulled out of the 2nd meeting leaving Somerset in doo-doo? Edited to add just read the other thread about it!
  10. I believe it was the medic that pulled him out of the meeting. Tungate wanted to ride.
  11. Seeing as the IRR scored 6+2 from JD's 3 programmed rides, and that Swindon got a 1-5 in heat 15, I struggle to see how Swindon may have hit 60 with Doyle riding...
  12. BV back from the brink with 3 consecutive 5-1s in heat 13 through 15. 6 points down to 6 points up. Great character shown. And for the 3rd home match running we have a rider score a paid/max.
  13. Hope the riders aren't thinking like the OP. Complacency can be a killer. The Lions mustn't be taken lightly.
  14. It was to the part of the grandstand next to the pits. Where most of the original "banter" was coming from. It happened. I guarantee it. And it happened again after his 2nd and 3rd rides...
  15. I didn't really listen to the announcer, he was telling us it was going to be a "sensationally close finish to the meeting" after heat 14! He didn't incite the crowd either. There were a decent number booing Tai from the off but as soon as he gave the birdie after his first ride the numbers multiplied.
  16. Only if BV and Wolves meet in the playoffs eh BWitcher? Don't think any incitement from the BV promotion was required if I'm being honest with you...
  17. A LOT of people were expecting him to go through the card unbeaten after what he did at our place at the WTC. He got 5-1'd comfortably and then got beat by a reserve on his T/R! Something wasn't quite right with him. Judging by his comments when interviewed in the pits we did get to him. More interested in talking about people booing him than the races!
  18. IF that's true then yes that is way over the top. But I was booing Woffy. We got to him. It gave my club an advantage. He then called me "scum" for booing him?! Deal with it. You're a pro-sportsman! There may have been 1 or 2 mindless idiots but to generalise to that extent is way OTT by him. Someone also said earlier in the thread that he will still have huge support at Cardiff. Yes he will but his numbers are dwindling extensively year on year.
  19. That's a shame and I disagree with Pete Adams. Surely a 2 legged affair is very different to a one-off match. The injustice of losing when you've scored more "real points" than the opposition is horrendous! I will never forget the Reading vs Peterborough final of 2006. Peterborough won it 95-94 on aggregate despite 3 (!!!) Tac rides all winning their races (2 away, 1 at home). They got 9 extra undeserved points! In real terms Reading won that 2 legged affair 94-86. Huge injustice.
