  1. As most people on here would have had to google what Invective meant, it wouldn't be value for money. And no way am i buying (getting for free) anything that has Oxford written on it.
  2. He may have "lost his temper" as for scaring our dear female tv presenter, the whole pits is filled with testosterone, but that's a different argument. F1, i am waiting for the moment they cut to the drivers/pits radio, and i hear something like that... So far they have had a little too much restraint
  3. So your opinion is based solely from a neutral standpoint, and you have no liking or disliking of any riders on the "circuit"?
  4. Exactly my point, in the heat of the moment, people say things before they really think about it, wether one comment was worse than another isn't really here or there. Although this isn't the first time i have heard Nicholls use foul language on live tv. It's not right for anyone to use that kind of language on TV, no matter who it is or how much of it there is. I just find it funny that many people were using Andersen's language as amuntion during the world cup, claiming that others never used it. That's all that comment was meant to be...
  5. What comes around goes around has been said by Nicholls in recents weeks, and today it came around. 2 weeks ago, should never had been in the final, but thanks to a British Ref he was. It's a pity really because he had a better chance of winning this week, than 2 weeks ago. How can someone who knows there is a TV camera pointing right at you use language like was used today. Nicholls was unlucky in my opinion, but hey it's over now and not a damn things anyone can do about it. Anything else i say will no doubt just be a repeat of what's already been said. Congrats to Andreas "s*** happens f*** it" Jonsson
  6. To answer a previous poster, It's not about Middlo being poor, or about naming a manager and 5 (GB) riders that would have won tonight. It's about the future and if most people on here are honest, things do get stale, and things need changing, for the sake of fresh ideas, for fresh techniques. I am not knocking a man who has done a great job with a mediocre team. I think he got the best out of them he could, but riders are getting to "used" to the way he manages, and how he picks the team based on his own criteria... Some people can stay in a job too long, and for the sake of the future, it's time it was changed... What i want to know, is why everyone think "we" are knocking him, when it's not about him, and it's not about the present, it's about the future and things are beginning to look stale. This is my opinion and i am entitled to have an opinion, my opinion's can be challenged and argued, but let's try not to use the same old "well you do better then", "you tell us who would have won then". i don't know enough about speedway and the riders to be able to do that, but i know enough about people and management to base this opinion on experience.... I thank you for your time.
  7. A long story, but Nicholls is one of the riders i have heard swear on TV, when he didn't agree with a decision. It has nothing to do with how some of the Danes acted tonight, i think most people are in agreement that they were wrong... and reacted in an inappropriate manner..
  8. I tried too, but all i could see what his chin.... He did look funny, trying to look the "hard man" when no-one was actually taking any notice of him.
  9. As this is the Middlo thread, i would like to say. He has done a good job for the Brits, but now it's time for new blood. Like most managers job's you can be in it for just a little too long. Thanks for your service but no thanks.... i feel you have taken them as far as you can, not saying someone else would make them better. Now's the time for a change.
  10. That would mean half the riders being fined, as i have heard many of them swear on tv. The Danes were worthy winners, as they were the best team on the night. They didn't need to react the way they did agreed. But it's gone it's over and it not important now... big respect for Travis who did take it on the chin, and for Boyce' for managing to show his frustration without getting too riled up... As for Sportmanship, every team and most riders have been the same in the past few years, so to "single" out the Danes is unfair, i didn't see Charlie or Niels getting involved in it. There were a couple of time on thursday and a couple of times tonight when riders wouldn't acknowledge another rider, this show's bad sportmanship. I don't like Nicholls but he did the right thing and shook the danes hands on the way to the podium. (pity he didn't do it thursday). There are going to be riders we like, and riders we don't like, teams we like and teams we don't like. it's the way sport is. We can all put on our rose tinted glasses and argue to the end of the earth... but it forgotten soon enough..
  11. And as the winner of the World Team Cup, i am sure he is reaping his rewards now. You are going to get people who don't like him, who will have a go at him, you will get people who do like him and they will defend him. It's the people who don't really have an opinion who would be best to listen too, and it seems like Sam's comments on the box are kinda in the middle... so i am going with that. I have to admit he didn't need to react the way he did.
  12. Sorry about that, it looks like they changed something on their site, and it changed the name of my sheet.... Hope you got another one... i would like to say sorry again...
  13. And here is one for the final. Printable use only. Speedway World Cup
  14. Nicholls in a dark alley? just swing at him and you are bound to hit that massive chin he sticks out... I thought we were cheering on Great Britain (how come there are only english riders though?) I have seen many "dodgy" moves, no-one got hurt Scottie won and both teams are through to the final.... get over it everyone... The only thing i think was wrong is the bad sportsmanship that if someone offers you a hand to shake then you shake it, no matter what, pansy footballers do it, crazy rugby players do it, heck i have even done it (sometimes grudingly) but don't ever show how much of a child you are by spitting your dummy out....
