  1. Thanks for that. An early start but with that goes an earlier finish! hopefully
  2. Have seen on a couple of forums that the Redcar round of the U15 Championship is on Saturday 16th September following the Conference Shield meeting between Cleveland 'Bays' & Sittingbourne 'Crusaders'. Can anyone confirm the accuracy of this please?
  3. Thanks for that, really useful, isn't Coventry Monday 28th though?
  4. Although a 'punk' in my early years, I have to agree Andy M that the music has not dated well, and was in many cases no more than 'Pub' rock. It certainly was more about expression and quickly became a cultural movement. However it did rid us of ELP, Yes and the likes, but more importantly showed the youth of the time that being in a band was not elitist, but something anyone could do if they chose. Of course many of the more noted bands of the movement, The Jam and The Clash for example, were never really 'punk' bands in the true sense and their music is imo a testament to the fact that there was some great music coming out of that era.
  5. After his performance last night at Scunthorpe for the Mildenhall Academy, Im sure Ben Hopwood will be pleased to see one of the U15 rounds is being held there
  6. Whats the nearest airport to Terenzano?
  7. Like the majority on here I really enjoy the magazine and EX-Retro for that matter (how good was sunday!). However I would like to see you keep away from to many excerts from recently published books.
  8. Saw Mildenhall beat Berwick 64 - 14 if memory serves. The only rider beaten was Rob Henry i think.
  9. Any news of Tom Davies, looked a nasty crash form where we stood
  10. If I am correct the company that used to film meetings at Mildenhall were KM videos. I believe they started in 1982/83 season. Does anyone know what happened to them and if possible and email or contact address please.
  11. Fully agree, the Defunct Speedway Magazine is a good idea, as was the Speedway Programme Guide which sadly stopped being updated very quickly. The technical quality does not match Backtrack or VSM as you say, but I can put up with that, its the regular changing of direction and delays in getting the magazines out which give me the problem. I am sure his Speedway History magazine is one I subscribed to over two years ago, but had to ask for my money back as nothing ever materilaised. I wish him well too as there is not enough speedway literature about for the Speedway fan imo, and I admire his endeavours, but won't hold my breath on this one. If he had a website set up it might help!
  12. Sounds too much like ALan Pardew for you to consider interviewing him, hey Tony
  13. As it is Mildenhall's 30th Anniversary how about Bob Coles. I hear he now resides in Spain, so you could get a decent trip out of it as well Tony Up the Hammers Phil
