Yep, polish federation has finally decided to pay the riders (or at least recompensate) for SWC. Last year PZM only reimbursed the riders for travell cost, which was noticeable as some of the riders declined participation by presenitng sicknotes or saying they weren't ready on such a short notice and the team was put together in last minute. FIM/BSI rewards: 1st 25,000USD, 2nd 20USD, 3rd 18USD, 4th 16USD, 5th 14USD,6th 12USD and 7&8th receive 8,500USD.

Because I want to compare how each country rewards the riders. Unless it's a crime to ask??

I'm wondering how much are riders going to be paid by their respected governing body if they advance to the Wroclaw finals? PZM (Poland) will pay the team: -approx. 4200GBP for advancing to the finals. -for 1st place 17,000GBP, 2nd 14,000GBP and 3rd 10,000GBP + FIM reward. tom

Leszno speedway legend, Roman Jankowski, was announced as the new trainer of ZKZ Zielona Gora and will try and "rebuild" the team before the religation play-off against Gdansk. No comment...

Huszcza is still in awesome physical shape and runs many miles every day (fitness freak). A great feat for the 48 year old who still has a say in top level speedway. This year is 30 yeras on the track for "Tomek". tom

Andrzej is recovering from a collar bone injury. Should be back on the track within a week or so. tom

Peter Swist was fined 2.700 GBP and suspended for his harsh comments towards ZG manager and team management after the loss to Czestochowa. Also for not properly displaying ZG main sponsors logo on his kevlar and bike.

Roman married a Polish girl and has settled down here. He also rides on polish licence and from what I've heard he's had numerous conflicts with russian federation.

I would prefer the GP would take place in ZG, but our stadium is too small (14,000 max). And as much as I hate Leszno once the facility gets renovated it will beat Bydgoszcz and Wroclaw hands down. Plus they got a dance club in that big ass referee tower it is,internet pre-sale ends on Aug 8th at 4pm local time

Personally I hate watching speedway @ Bydgoszcz. When you sit a bit lower u can barely see the riders and the track is way too far from the stands. I hope Leszno will organize the GP's in a few years, as watching meetings there is amazing.
