Also who ever is planning an early trip for the Wroclaw SGP (May 6th), there will be league meetings on the Wednsay (May 3rd) in Bydgoszcz, Tarnow and the nearby Leszno and Zielona Gora. So you can make it a triple-crown trip with two league meetings and an SGP.

Oh yeah, sorry MDMP is Junior Team Championship
-
Yep, it's the thursday before the GP. "stosownie do regulaminu", means GKSZ will deceide where the final is going to take place.

You can d/l the fixtures (PDF file) HERE and click on, "Pobierz komunikat jako plik pdf "

When was the deadline for signing contracts in all Swedish leagues? And when can teams start signing new riders, is it at the begining of the season? thnx in advance tom
-
Davi, Im so confident about my team I'll be spending most of the meetings in the line up for beer, havin a laugh or two . Just like at Wroclaw, remember Rico?
-
Davi, I gotta say I'm pretty confident ....Due to financial reasons Ostrow won't ride full strength most meetings, I think the only meetings will be against Falubaz. ZG's core line up is made up of Polish riders-Okoniewski, Walasek and Staszewski, theoretically much stronger that Ostrow's (Wegrzyk, Jedrzejak and Szczepaniak). Also, if PK, MAx and Ferjan won't get paid after a meeting they just won't show up for the next one, polish riders don't tend to do that and will rider every meeting. Ostrow's title sponsor is Intar (building material supplier). ZG is Kronopol, and boy do they have a lot dough .
-
Yes, glad to see 1st div. won't be a yawn-fest for Falubaz .
-
I think you'll see more juniors in the line-up against weaker teams where foreign riders won't be called up. Plus most of these juniors will compete in all kinds of u21 comeptitions (and there is a lot of 'em) and that's where guys like Wolbert will be able to develop skills on almost dail basis.

I was at the press conference at which bith riders were present. Lindgren signed a 1 year contract and Wolbert 3 for years. Both nice lads, wish'em all the best in 2006. Photos photos Next up, The Bullet

-
All below re-signed: Damian Balinski Sr. (Unia Leszno) Maciej Kuciapa (Stal Rzeszow) Stanislaw Burza (Unia Tarnow)

Polish League: No Limits On Foreign Riders!
tommy replied to tommy's topic in International World of Speedway
In the words of the great Ozzy Osbourne (w/ Black Sabbath), "...we're going through changes..." ...and here's a BRIEF list of the most important changes made official by PZM (in no particualr order). 1.Rider (no matter what nationality and citizenship) is required to sign a contract by Jan.31st 2006 to represent a club in 2006 season. 2.There is no limit on the number of signed foreign riders by a club. Therefore the limit rule for a min.CMA required by a foreign rider is now void (last season Lindback and J.B. Jensen were under the min. limit) 3.GP riders from seeded from 1-15 (both domestic and foreign) can ONLY sign with an Ekstraliga team. 4.Foreign riders can ride in all meeting sanctioned by PZM - excluding: Polish Individual Championship, P.I.Junior.Ch.,Golden Helmet as those meeting will become a part of the elimination process for the SGP 2007. 5.No limit on foreign riders in Ekstraliga Championships, 1st Div,2nd Div., Polish pairs championships(senior & junior), Polish Junior Team Championships. One exception is E-liga team can't have more than 2 GP riders (seeded 1-15 in SGP) lined-up in a meeting. 6.Meetings will be in 2 phases. Regular season and play-offs. After regular season, league will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams: teams 1 - 4 and teams 5 - 8. All points earned in regular season will count in the play-offs. Meetings in 2nd div. won't have play-offs. Bonus points will be awarded same as previous season. 7.Starting numbers 6 & 7 and 14 & 15 can only be assigned to junior riders. Teams can also have a reserve rider under starting number 8 & 16 (riders up to 23 years old). Riders numbered 7 & 15 will have an extra compulsory heat in the place of riders 6 & 14. Calendar for 2006 season will be made official on Dec.9th. Hope the rules are clear , as I typed them out in a hurry. any questions or comments let me know. -
Billy Hamill is close to signing with Zielona Gora.

Polish League: No Limits On Foreign Riders!
tommy replied to tommy's topic in International World of Speedway
Looks like it'll be a free-for-all. Last night I watched a report on the new rules in Polish speedway, it included an interview with a promoter from Bydgoszcz who said there won't be any informal agreements between all promoters regarding foreign riders. At least he was being honest, cause most folks involved in speedway here have the same opinion. -
Sad to see Nicki leave Zielona Gora, due to bogus rules GP riders can't ride in 1st and 2nd div.
-
According to sportowefakty.pl Tarnow's biggest sponsor, Rafineria Trzebinia will cut funding to the club by over half of what it dispersed over last two seasons. Unia promoters have to find new sponsors in order to fill the gap in the budget if they want to keep Gollob's, Kolodziej and potentially sign Hlib.

Polish League: No Limits On Foreign Riders!

More changes...2006 season will be the first for a professional speedway league (called ZLZ)as all the teams will transform into joint-stock companies and by 2007 the league will expand to 10 teams. Should have more details tomorrow. -
Polish League: No Limits On Foreign Riders!
tommy replied to tommy's topic in International World of Speedway
Key words. I'm skeptical. -
Few days after the debate over foreign riders reached its climax, PZM lifted the limit on foreign riders (that includes non-EU also!) in all 3 divisions. Now this doesn't mean will see a flood of riders from GB, S and DK signing in Poland. The promoters will most likely create an informal agreement to limit line-up to two foreign riders. My concern is that an informal agreement won't last too long and some of these greedy promoters will be tempted to break the rules. I'm all for opening up the market, but it should be done gradually.

Rzeszow re-signed veteran Dariusz Sledz, juniors Dawid Stachyra and Pawel Miesiac. Next up for negotiations is Maciej Kuciapa and Karol Baran.
-
Iris, that was the plan but ZG team trainer said "NO"
-
Siema Rico! Unfortunately yes ,the sad part is that we have to spend the upcoming season in 1st div. yet we have a stronger line up than this past season. The hangover isn't too bad considering the celebrations finished around 5am. So tonite i'm staying in and tomorrow off to a bar to watch Barcelona vs. Real...oh what hard life During the ceremonies our group Falubaz Net F@ns received and award for creating awesome presentations during meetings and for sticking with the team through ups and downs. Photos here and Here

Was at the party last night, what a night! Spoke to Walasek (sgined 2 year contract!), he knows that there is a lot of pressure on him to be the leader, shouldn't be a problem in 1st div. though. Zielona Gora is the juggernaut of 1st div. Okoniewski also signed the dotted line ! Due to really stupid rules GP riders can ONLY ride in ekstraliga, which means that we automatically lose Nicki P. and Lee ....ZG is in negotiations with Hamill, Lindgren and P.Karlsson.
