  1. Hampel singed a 2 year deal with Leszno.
  2. Looks like the talented Chris Holder signed with Wroclaw. Shame, was hoping to see him ride for my team.
  3. Also Hefenbrock re-signed with Czestochowa (both 2 years).
  4. The stadium will hold approx. 20,000 after renovations. Don't think they'll get a sell out crowd considering the ticket prices but real close to it (if Poland advance to the final).
  5. Yes I am ...very laid back atmosphere at the tournament and Czech beer is 20 times better than polish (not to mention cheaper!). There is a disco at our hotel so I hope I comeback with some good memories .
  6. Hi, was wandering if anyone is making the trip for this weekend's Golden Helmet in Pardubice? 7. Had a chance to speak with Egon during his visit to Zielona Gora, he was overlooking Billy Hamill's pits as The Bullet was riding on Egon's engines.
  8. Thnx Tarabanko, hopefully the situation at Avesta and other clubs will improve.
  9. Is Tony's former club in trouble? Found this on the svt.se website: Speedwayklubben Masarna i Avesta är i ekonomisk kris. När klubben höll medlemsmöte igår kväll - kom det fram att underskottet är en halv miljon kronor from what I gather Avesta have a half a millon kroner debt? please correct me if i'm wrong.
  10. Who's Maciek Janowski? Is he a junior based in Sweden?
  11. Heard the bad news from Rico. Get well soon Tom! Certainly duze balony would be a great remedy.
  12. a bit off topic but who is considered the "swedish meatball" ?
  13. Meeting rained-off. As of yet no date of when it would be restaged.
  14. HERE Zabik has serious head injuries (but not life threatning) and according to the doctors has to take at least 6 months off.
  15. Probably my favourite track in Poland for speedway action (until Olsen gets his paws on it) and viewwise. But as Matuesz mentioned the city lacks tourist infrastructure (bars, hotels, etc) so my guess is that most of the fans will be based in either Poznan (80km away) or Wroclaw (100km) which will be a pain in the arse considering drinking time lost while commuting back to Pozn or Wroc.
  16. In the news section it also says that the meeting is on Saturday.
  17. Not sure if half of this line-up will be in considering clubs financial problems, both teams don't have anything to battle for as their place in the league table has been settled. Klingberg is still injured and Ruud is out for the season. Only K.Jansson rode for gorzow last night.
  18. From what I hear Lindback won't race tomorrow. Poland is the favourite.
  19. my chances of joining u guys are very slim ...but then again never say never. I'm sure that with the two Bydgoszcz GP veternas that are Rico and HenryW you'll be alright, they're like fish in the water in that town or even better... like Gollob on the Bydgoszcz track.
  20. First thing, congrats to Karol on the title. Freddie got shafted by a stupid rule and that's the bottom line. The final was made out of 20 heats and a FINAL heat, the top scorer after 20 heats was Fred who beat Zabik when they faced each other directly. BTW, if it wasn't for FL's fall in the final Linback would b the champ so it was a blessing for Zabik to get the re-run. ps. the track was sh**e (slick as hell) and once again anti-advertisment of speedway.
  21. Adrian is back on the bike and will be ready for the Final. ADRIAN Miedzinski will return to the track for Saturday's Individual Junior Championship final. That will be his first start after his collarbone injury. Despite very bad weather (strong wind and heavy rain) in Poland, Adrian decided to have a training session on Tuesday. The Adriana Torun rider wanted to check his fitness after three weeks' break. "Generally, it is not that bad. I do not feel pain while riding. I will certainly have a second practice before going to the final in Terenzano. What result will I achieve there? Hard to say, but I am hoping for a good one," said Miedzinski. Adrian is one of the tournament's favourites. Polish riders have taken junior gold for three successive seasons - Jaroslaw Hampel (2003), Robert Miskowiak (2004) and Krzysztof Kasprzak (2005). speedwayworld.tv
  22. Freddie, Linback, Holder, Zabik...in no specific order.
