I am not critcising Poland but i agree with Dexter that it is not right that riders like Lee Richardson should wait months and months before they get paid monies that are owed to them. That is not right - do you agree?
-
...surprised no-one has included Ben Barker!?
-
to be fair to the british riders: Tai did well last season in the top flight and is there on merit, not just because he's a junior. Not convinced the same can be said for Bridger, but we will wait and see. Also the 1st division is a tough division, and i think we will have 4 of the top 10 averaged riders in 2010 1st division. Richardson is good enough for top flight easily. Kennett and Harris both did well towards the end of the 2009 season, and surely Nicholls will be able to handle that level of racing fairly comfortably!

No place for Scott Nicholls in 2010 ?!?
-
Is there a rule in Poland about how many foreigners each team is allowed in one match, and if so how many?
-
I know there has been more changes this winter than usual, and all the deals may not yet be disclosed - but can anyone post the squad lists for the teams for 2010.?
-
Is there a league in place this year to help such riders get more track time?

Ooooooo. ZKZ winning the BIG BIG match of the day today, the Gorzov derby. Its 25-17 so far. Come on ZKZ you can do it!!!

Polish League Transfers...rumours...
scousedave replied to tommy's topic in International World of Speedway
I just found out today i work with a guy who's local team is ZKZ. He was amazed to find someone who goes to Speedway! He is going home for Christmas and he will bring me back some merchandise. -
Can anyone tell me what happened to Charlie Oates who used to ride in the 50's?
-
Last night was my first Cardiff GP but the racing definately made it worthwhile going and its good to see everyone agreeing that it was the best yet. .....hopefully next years will be even better!!
-
Hey I like Kenneth but Simon has been great this year. Simon has definately improved alot this year and deserves his second heat leader status.
-
Its getting closer to Bydgoszcz. Can he make it 5 consecutive wins!!!
-
Well after another dodgy performance from Tomasz last night its going to take another special Bydgoszcz performance in the last round for him to make it into next years series! Can he do it? ... Will he do it!?!?
-
Mateusz how sure are you of this? Obviously I want Jason Crump to win it but if he cant then I would really like to see Tomasz do it again!!! It would be a fantastic achievement.
-
Yes but the question is will the gret man win the GP at Bydgoszcz yet again!!!?

Gp Qualifying Final

He's also averaging similar to Zagar, Protasiewicz, Kasprzak and Iversen in the Elite League... and alot better than Richardson. -

Just so long as we have established Simon is better than some other Grand Prix riders, past and present.. Thats all... The same goes for Chris Harris too. He would do no worse (possibly better) than some previous riders in the series. -

I agree Harris is a good improving rider, but its not fair to Simon Stead for people to say he is nowhere near good enough for the GP when there are worse riders than him who have taken part in the Series. -

Maybe, but neither is Lee Richardson and I know which of the 2 are improving. He is also better than some of the others that have featured in the series. -
Im not sire how that would work but Im sure an International Test Series would work. It would all depend on how serious the other European teams took it? (Poland, Sweden, Denmark etc.)
-
I just thought it would be better with the World Cup every 2 years and Test series in between. With 7 or 8 man teams I think Poland would certainly be the best team, especially at home.
-
Which is a shame, because I think it would capture the imagination of the general sport viewing public. Not just Speedway fans.
-
I just cannot understand for the life of me why World Speedway does not have a bigger and more varied International Calendar. Namely in the shape of a Test Series, as Cricket and Rugby Union do, and as Speedway itself had at one time. It would be better than having the World Cup yearly, which is being flogged to death due to it being run every year. Surely running it every 2 years at the least would be better.
