  1. Just a month to go and Speedway season starts, cannot wait is an understatement lolAlso great results for England Rugby & The Sale Sharks over weekend :)

  2. I would be happy if we brought Todd Kurtz in, would be a good move.
  3. Gutted for Taylor Poole, he is a great kid and I think if stayed injury free this year then he could easily achieve the required average to keep rider in UK, hope he keeps his chin up and next winter he can do well in state championship so he can return in 2016 and hopefully be back at Sheffield. As for his replacement I am unsure if Compton wants to return after that crash even though he was slowly getting back to his best at the time of crash so if he fancies it then great but if not maybe Franc would be a good shout, good home and away !
  4. What a win, forwards in that second half were immense ! #carrythemhome

  5. Just over 2 hours to start of Rugby !Come on England !#CarryThemHome

  6. Sport is not in the real world though when it comes to contracts just like Football. The Asset system is flawed I agree, because riders are near enough self employed and free agents at end of every season but at least Asset system gives clubs first choice at least and if rider chooses not too then at least said club can get some money for loaning them to somebody or sell them on. When a club is put up for sale the asset list is part of it so if I was to invest in a club I would more than likely go for club with a good asset base rather than a club without one or with poor value riders.
  7. not really nonsense though is it because if you own contract or have brought the rider through your ranks etc then you can command a loan fee or a transfer fee.
  8. Maybe wanting a bit too much money could be Elite or Premier League's problem instead of taking whatever is offered I don't know. As for National League this is great news and I hope it is a great benefit to stand alone clubs like Buxton.
  9. Not sure on that front but he has only signed for Sheffield anyway so far !
  10. yes both because he is allowed to come and work over here.
  11. He can ride both Elite & Premier because he has qualified to work over here with average he achieved in Elite League !
  12. Simon Stead is now a Sheffield asset and more than likely Adam Allott is a Sheffield asset also and think always has been.
  13. I can't justify it and not doing so, I think it is stupid as much as anyone else but the rules have always been there and until that changes then there is not much we can do.
  14. They are talented enough though and the criteria for them players to gain a work permit is as follows : Work permits will only be issued to international football players of the highest calibre who will be able to make a significant contribution to the development of the game of football in the United Kingdom at the highest level. How is it established that the player is an international player of the highest calibre? In order to establish on an initial application that the player is an international player of the highest calibre the following criteria must be met: A player must have player for his country in at least 75% of its competitive A team matches of which he was available for selection, during the two years preceding the date of the application The player’s country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings when averaged over the two years preceding the date of the application So stop making out speedway is being singled out and that Aussies are being treated unfairly, it is just the way it is. I would love to see Taylor Poole back in Tigers colours next year but rules are rules and it has always been the case and is the case with every sport when it comes to getting players/riders from outside the EU.
  15. Watched rugby highlights, now the jump !

  16. Because the lad is getting himself sorted for new season, will have sorted sponsors etc Happy he has a team and then all of a sudden nothing. No rider will want to ride for Eastbourne if they treat riders like that. Don't confirm your team and then change it right on eve of season, once declared that should be it !
  17. What a game and atmosphere !!!!! Shoreham Boys We Are Here !!!!

  18. Good day to have off work ????

  19. Speedway fixtures finally out, roll on March and planning which meetings I can get to ????????????

  20. Surely Darcy Ward has been punished enough by missing rest of season and earnings ! Hopefully that is enough for him to realise what he did was wrong and let him start earning again. Hopefully FIM take that into account and don't add extra punishment on top.
  21. Happy New Year Everybody !!

  22. Will be at this meeting no doubt ! He gave us many memorable moments in Tigers colours and deserves this meeting which I hope gives Ricky and his family all the help they need in creating Ricky his own space in the house which hopefully helps him improve as well. Keep fighting Ricky !!!
  23. Well the Sheffield promotion I think have done a great job, it seems like a side that should have no problem at home (I hope) and hopefully with that confidence can get some good results on our travels also. I like the fact we have taken a gamble on Arthur Sissis, he has potential once he gets going again and would rather take a gamble than bring one of old guard back.
  24. Sheffield lad Super Simon Stead is the 2014 premier league riders champion !!! What a night, one lost voice lol get in ! Love Speedway !!!!

  25. What people are missing with the Elite League is the fact that Dave Allen owner of Owlerton wants his stadium on TV a lot more and us in Elite League will do that for him. Plus our promotion have ambition and we have a great set of fans and a lot of them when the product is right. If stay Premier League I would start with Stead of course at 1 and then stick Ben Wilson and Josh Bates at reserve !
