  1. "Make your own choice" what do you mean by that? It has been researched and proven from programmes and "Paris Match" magazine? What else do you need?
  2. You can look at the programme cover on the Speedway Championships website, all the riders are listed on that cover. Also, how we know we are correct in the finishing three they are listed in this 1934 programme. 1931 Lamont, Tauser, Bellissent 1932 Wilkinson, Bellissent, Killmeyer 1933 Meynier, Wilkinson, Lamont.
  3. Speedway Champions as far as I'm concerned is correct, we had many discussions between us several years ago and we think we have it right. I have the programme from 1934 and it is the FOURTH world championship held there.
  4. Thanks norbold....time play's tricks!
  5. Remember both, at least read about the '63 but I don't think the West Ham one was in '65 think it was '67? Anyone? And yes, I was there in '65 and '67!
  6. Yes Bob....I was there as part of "Team Legault".....and another friend who was staying with me from Sheffield was sending the results through to Speedway Updates but he got so excited with Kyle's win he forget to send final result through for some time kinda puzzling the Sheffield fans as to what had happened. Think you are right, it was 2006......now a long time ago!!!
  7. Yes....but Flat Track is also waning in Canada and the US......
  8. Welland continues to have Motorcycle Racing......Paris now gone!
  9. You are correct, there is no more Speedway in Canada.......however there are tracks in New York State.
  10. He is not the only American to win....Lenny McBride and George Kalamaroff are also American
  11. Yes he won the Canadian Championship at the long gone Ulster Stadium in Toronto in 1934. He was unbeaten even with a bad hand!!
  12. In a word NO.....at least I have never seen them there!!
  13. Yes Bob, I do go to the "open" at Owego once in a while but the 12 hour round trip is not exciting! There are three tracks now in New York state, Owego, Greene and Cuddebackville......Owego being the closest!!! As "Chunky" states speedwaybikes.com is your best bet for schedules.

There was it seems, a huge turnout for this meeting. The riders were paid half in dollars and half in pesos....

There was a speedway meeting at the Youth Sports Arena in Tijuana in 1969. I know this did happen as my friend has a programme from the event.
  17. Go here to see the programme from that 1931 World Final and my comments. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156440849867397&set=gm.526579451263742&type=3&theater&ifg=1
  18. Wish I could add all the stuff sold but it won't let me do it here! Help?
  19. Some of the Frank Arthur collection that I was at in Australia several years ago.....it was a shame IMO that this could have not been sold as one lot!
  20. Yes they have made some rules complicated but at least the "silliest" one's are in the National Trophy.
  21. Ray Duggan was killed along with Norman Clay in the same race in 1950 in Sydney. Eddie Rigg was in the same crash that took Ken's life but Eddie died much later....not sure what year.
  22. Its actually easier than that teaboy......just click on the DONATE button on the home screen.
  23. Could someone who went to Scunthorpe please tell me what the programme was for this meeting.....Was it the Leicester rain off programme with an insert or was it a whole new programme. Thanks
