  1. Unfortunately I have never seen anything on the 1928 meeting.....probably another one of those "well lets put something out there and it will be taken as fact". Something like the "inventor" of Speedway.....but lets not start that one all over again! LOL
  2. I do have a comment in a track listing that states Eastbourne had one meeting in September in 1928.....other than that I have no more info.
  3. GB Lions v Aussie Kangaroos Could someone tell me if this programme exists, it was rained off and run in September? Thanks

Died 10/11/1999 aged 92 And a guess, he retired after the 1947 season? Courtesy of Wikipedia but I don't trust that because even in this article it gives his death as 1999 and 2001.....never know a person die twice!!!!!
  10. Just clicking on one of the team years Gustix has listed above seems to work....Try that.

    Mighty Mick!

I have been around a long time......I guess I'm also getting fed up with all the shares and copy / paste stuff on FB from him as well......a constant stream of duplicated stuff out there now. Makes it very boring.

    Mighty Mick!

You're dragging up stuff you already know, I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish. November 24, 2016....YOU said! New Cross Memories gustix posted a topic in Years Gone By ...I believed the race winner wasMick Mitchell, who away from the track was a school caretaker in Lewisham. Recently, I found out that Mitchell was not in that race - the winner was Belle Vue's Wally Lloyd. And, just for the record, New Cross won the challenge match 46-37. For the next 17 year... 14. Due to health and safety directives issued by the government of the Czech Republic amid concerns over COVID-19 (coronavirus), the 2020 Anlas Czech Republic FIM Speedway Grand Prix, originally scheduled for 13 June, has been postponed until September. This decision was made after careful consideration and consultation with the FIM, BSI Speedway, ACCR (Autoklub České Republiky) and the Marketa Stadium promoter, with the well-being of riders and supporters remaining the top priority. The re-scheduled date in September will be announced in due course, with further event details to be made available as soon as they have been finalised. All tickets already purchased for the event will remain valid for the revised date, and ticket sales will re-commence on 1 August. FIM & BSI Communications
  15. Damn, you're good chunky.......you didn't even make a comment........LOL
  16. Due to a ban imposed by the German government on all outdoor events until August 31, 2020 as part of measures to stall the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), this year’s 2020 Aztorin German FIM Speedway Grand Prix, scheduled for May 30, has been postponed. This decision was made after careful consideration and consultation with the FIM, BSI Speedway, the German Motorsport Federation (DMSB) and the Bergring Arena promoter out of concern for the safety of all involved. All parties are studying alternative dates for the event and further details will be provided in due course. FIM Communications
  17. Interesting, most of the the programmes out there for 1938......are in my collection.....actually they are mine......I think copied from the International Speedway Website.
  18. The only sidecar death I remember was at Wimbledon during the National Press Trophy meeting in 1967.....Damn, I can ever remember his name Chris Jackson!

  22. There is nothing in the rules (this years rules) that states there must be a minimum....so ONE should be good!!!
