Live Polish Speedway On The Internet
Subedei replied to Blazeaway's topic in International World of Speedway
Lawrence's website is the only one showing Bydgoszcz meetings, I think. But it does have all of this season's archived. Tomorrow will see two meetings available on the following: http://www.itvp.pl/event/zuzel/ Rzeszow versus Tarnow in the relegation play-off starts at 4:00pm BST and Czestochowa versus Leszno in the play-off semi-final starts at 5:30pm BST. Clicking on "Wideo" gives you access to all the televised Ekstraliga meetings this season. -
Not something I give out in a public forum. If the Joke wishes to see me he should make representations to me direct via this forum or any other means. I shall then advise him of everything he needs to know about my location.

It's a million times more honest and a billion times more credible than the Elite League. But you just carry on living in your parochial little Englander world watching the sport die in the UK because of the gross negligence and stupidity of the authorities. -

What difference would that have made when the referee ruled the track unfit? If the referee had ruled the track unfit at Ipswich tonight would your guests have salvaged the situation? And, to be honest, I'd rather have an honest and credible comptition than the fiasco that is the Elite League. -
Unlikely that the BSPA-SCB would allow Richardson to enter if he carries out his threat to dump the Elite League and Harris would, of course, have to enter to stand any chance. Would he lower himself to such a mundane thing?

This seems to be the Czestochowa version of events, from their chairman Marian Maslanka (isn't that a bit of a "girlie" name for Tai Woffinden's Polish employer?): http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/09/...elmenska-umowe/ A (very) rough translation appears to be that the Czestochowa track was in a sorry state yesterday and with a poor forecast for today Czestochowa told their three foreign riders not to bother. However, the weather wasn't so bad today, so Czestochowa tried to arrange private aircraft to get them to the track, but in the meantime the referee had ruled the track as being unacceptable and postponed the meeting. It seems that Leszno are going to write to the Ekstraliga authorities asking for a "walkover" victory to be declared - they turned up at Czestochowa with a full compliment of riders today. -

And Leszno not awfully happy about that. They're claiming that the real reason it's been called off is because Messrs Pedersen, Hancock and Richardson would've been missing for Czestochowa. They seem to be asking for the authorities in Poland to investigate: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/09/...elozenie-meczu/ -

And tonight's meeting between Czestochowa and Leszno has been postponed due to the state of the track in Czestochowa and re-scheduled for Sunday. This will mean a bit of fixture chaos in Poland, since Sunday was supposed to see the first leg of the play-off final. -
No problem. Send him round and I will.

Bydgoszcz nearly went to the wall circa 2003 and the reason was the amount of money going into the pockets of Mr Gollob. I think, but I'm not sure, that the current chairman rescued the club from that crisis. -
This just seems a ploy to get the likes of Gollob, Adams and Hancock to say "sod this for a game of space invaders" and decide they don't want to bother any more. Once they've bowed out, the rules get changed back again, until the next time BSI and the FIM decide they need to get rid of some old stagers. But the GP series will always encourage the creation of a cadre of riders ahead of everyone else. It's the nature of such competitions.

That's what I mean, Andersen basically bullied the timid Hampel out of it in Ht 16, but Crump gave as good as he got in the race-off and Andersen didn't have an answer.
-
Is that it?
-
Fantastic ride from Crump - Andersen's "charge and hope the other guy chickens out" might work with Hampel, but Crump isn't quite so timid.
-
Interesting. I was thinking that Hampel would cock it up and Jonsson would get through. Like I say, I always expect Hampel to throw in the odd zero. And he rode a poor race in Ht 15 last night to let Andersen through.
-
Hampel nearly always pops in a zero at some stage of a meeting.
-
No, it's the second leg of the semi-final - Torun await the winners in the final.
-
Don't forget, it's the re-arranged Czestochowa versus Leszno meeting tomorrow. Starts at 5:30pm BST, I think.
-
It's the interval - always after Ht 10 in Sweden.
-
It was okay until Ht 8 and now it seems to be making an effort to play again, so hopefully just missed the track grading.

Just going to settle down and watch Vetlanda versus Dackarna. It's great to watch proper leagues, with proper rules that aren't twisted and turned every five minutes.
