  1. Press release from Mildenhall Speedway - Fen Tigers aim for comeback of all comebacks! The KJM/Manchetts Fen Tigers go into Sundays KO Cup Final 2nd leg drawing confidence from the incredible Play Off final of 2011, where for a last heat exclusion they could of overturned a twenty nine point deficit! This time it is only twenty eight points but to add to that figure the Fen Tigers go into the meeting without Captain Jon Armstrong, Danny Halsey and now Connor Mountain. Mountains season is over following a recurrence of his recent shoulder injury after riding for Ipswich last evening. Kevin Jolly is again left to seek a replacement number one, whilst Alfie Bowtell comes in for Armstrong and the Fen Tigers continue to run R/R for Danny Halsey. The Fen Tigers have though shown incredible spirit against the odds at times this season and promoter Kevin Jolly refuses to believe that the comeback to end all comebacks is not beyond his team he said We seem to be having nothing but bad luck at the moment, but the spirit is still very strong and we will go all out on Sunday from the off and see where it takes us. Sourcing number one riders at this stage of the year has proved almost impossible with many riders having packed up for the season but I am confident of finding a suitable replacement for Connor. To lose the three heat leaders you started the season with is almost unheard of but that is where we are and we have to get on with it. Hopefully our supporters will get behind the lads from the off and encourage a monumental performance from them Following the main event the KJM/Manchetts Fen Tigers will close their season with their outstanding league fixture against the Isle of Wight. Entrance prices for Sunday are £18.00 for adults and concessions with children admitted for free. The gates open at 2.30pm ahead of the 30 heats on offer and following the Isle of Wight meeting there will be a firework display for fans. One of the clubs sponsors Stonefield Farm Shop will be handing out pumpkins to children prior to the meeting. Teams KJM/Manchetts Fen Tigers v Eastbourne - 1. TBC 2. R/R (Danny Halsey) 3. 2. Seen some places it's been mentioned that the limit would be lower. This would be an absolute nightmare. Fans won't pay to see a poor product. With a lower limit it would mean teams going with 2/3 3 pointers. Honestly can't see where these riders would come from, other than it being riders who aren't ready for the step up from mdl etc. It's got to be the same limit or higher for me 👍
  3. Not sure what he's actually done but will be on crutches for 2 weeks followed by physio.
  4. Not sore losers at all. As I've said previously we were well beaten on the night. Would have been a tough 1 at full strength let alone missing a couple. The person Mrs Brennan started having a go at is still classed as a minor! She had a go at her after she thought she heard her say something. A it wasn't her who said it and B the person that did was a bloke.
  5. In my defence when I went to reply your post wasn't there. I then had to go back to work and came back to the post so I didn't actually see yours until after I'd replied. Anyway can't do naff all about it now. Roll on Sunday
  6. Not at all. I'm entitled to my own opinion Are you saying that what I've said is wrong?Anyway I wasn't really replying to yourself lol
  7. If that's the case why have I read some Eastie fans say you could see he was in pain and heard him shout in agony? No sour grapes at all from myself. Well beaten on the night. Was always going to be a tough meeting with our number 1 let alone without him.
  8. So Jon Armstrong gets injured in the last race. Had to be lifted off his bike. Clearly in agony. Medical staff ran over. The Eastbourne riders then came out with flairs and celebrated whilst he was getting treatment. The medical buggy was being used in part of the celebration and they came out with a wheelbarrow to bring him back to the pits. A wheelbarrow ffs. A. the riders should have shown more respect and waited for Jon to be back safe and sound in the pits and B. the whole thing is ridiculous. 1 of the promotion team then went to go and either film or take a picture of Jon in the wheelbarrow. Jon then refused to go in it before the buggy was summoned over. Brennans mum started on a couple of Mildenhall fans for no reason. She thought she heard something but it wasn't from them. Apparently she was being held back, classy bird. The actions of the Eastbourne team/promotion was terrible. Jon is the 1st 1 on the track to anyone who has had a fall. Talk about no respect. Idiots!!
  9. Believe me they tried everyone you could think of. Hurry was at a wedding, JPB has bikes issues, Greenwood has packed his gear up I believe, Ayres not fit, Bowtell, Hopwood at Newcastle, Sarjeant at Newcastle,Coles away and the rest have basically packed up for the winter. Please offer suggestions to what else you would have done?
  10. Luke Harris guests for Mountain. The club has been trying riders from everywhere but have either packed up for the winter or live too far away
  11. Good job aswell. I'd had enough. We decided to come down early and do some shopping. Took me 30 mins longer to get from the shopping centre to the track than what it did for me to get from home to the shopping centre. Hour and 45 mins. Was a poor meeting tbh. Majority of the races were done and dusted by bend 2.Thought we may have snuck a point but it wasn't meant to be. Too sharp away from the gates unfortunately for us.Well done on the win
  12. Cook wasn't there 100%.His name was crossed off the back gate list by I think Mark Sexton who was also there
  13. Jake Knight and Luke Priest come into the Lakeside line up. After the passing of his father, I doubt Sam Woods will be riding tomorrow
  14. Yes I thought it would be an odd 1 if there was more than 1 of you. I was the 1 who's child was attached to the back pack and reigns
  15. Cufc brummie. Were you standing amongst the Mildenhall fans. Only asking as I was talking to someone who was a Cambridge Utd supporter
  16. There's nothing in the rule book that states when it is unfortunately
  17. Matt was only over here for 3 weeks. Really nice lad. Hope he's back next year with Mildenhall
  18. Sometimes you don't have a choice. Nobody wants to see guests and rr.
  19. Great win for us. Expected it to be a lot closer. Looking forward to getting our full 1-7 back next meeting.
  20. Whitmore agreed to this fixture ages ago apparently. He did ask to change but the scb said he couldn't do so. Yes the last 2 have been crackers. Hoping with the overcast conditions it won't dry the track out that much like it would with the sun. Looking forward to this meeting
  21. As long as signal allows I'll try and keep the weather updates on here like last time. Just overcast right now with the sun popping out every now and again. Hopefully will be fine for today
  22. We were saying to ourselves last week Mason won't ride. Sure enough People do have other jobs unfortunately. It's all done on a voluntary basis. I'm guessing with our lineup not fully known until today there wasn't anything published. Kean Dicken is the other reserve for Mildenhall. Why does it matter about the riding order out of interet.Hope you're not 1 of these people who print out a programme to save buying 1 lol
  23. Track looks good to the eye. Just cloudy at the moment. American team about to have a practice Track looks smooth
