BW I see you didn't get any punctuation for xmas . Yes, Ryan is in the main body of the team as his average is higher than Tyler's and Matt's but it should push him on to the next level. I doubt that Chris will be back as we have a lot of points to play with for the other three places. With regards to your previous post slating Buxton's Press Officer, obviously you don't know how the club or press side works, so please keep your fingers off the keyboard when you don't know what you are typing about.

From memory, Loomer Road is owned by a Bookie. Maybe he ought to invest a little in his asset, since when have you ever seen a poor Bookie?

Interesting choice of stats that you chose to show that you don't rate Tommy Fenwick. Seems from your choice of stats that Tommy did better than Max Clegg, the same Max Clegg that signed for Dudley (and they don't usually sign duds). Come on, you seem to be very opinionated so let us know who you want.

Local radio says that he has retired from speedway to concentrate on moto-x. I thought you had to ride first to be able to retire. Oh, by the way, I can announce that I have retired from riding speedway Pity that he isn't going to be riding as I'd heard good things about him. Maybe he will give speedway a go at some point.

The only issue around riders like Chris and James is that Buxton only pay the basic money and they might think that it's too costly to ride there. Both want to ride AFAIK but how desperately?
-
3 down 4 to go. It will be interesting to see who those 4 are. If Ryan returns, he will be a 2nd string and will leave plenty of points for the final 3 riders.
-
Wonderful news that Buxton will be back to start their 20th season. Team-wise, Tony is an excellent signing as he will offer more than his points with the advice that he offers to his team-mates. I hope Ryan is back as he is progressing nicely and I'd like to see Mikey Neale given the No 7 race jacket as he came on a lot by the end of the season.

Bit of a clue in the photos on the Official site from Saturday night that Buxton have their first signing as Vog says.

The old 13 heat format was dropped after the top flight meetings had riders pulling out of 2nd half's to fly off to the continent. A proper 2nd half with novice races, 4-race 'rider of the night' event, etc at NL level would give all levels of rider extra track time.

Good job it was Buxton's final meeting of the season as they would have been very short of riders for another match. Along with the bum injury to Deano, Luke Priest broke his wrist after being knocked off by Ross Walter in Heat 12. He somehow managed to get a paid win in the re-run!!

He did, sort of. The fence took all of the speed out of the crash and collapsed as designed with Martin dropping into the safety zone. It would have been 100x worse at most other tracks and is testament to the safety fence at Buxton that he was relatively unharmed.Hopefully Martin will come back fit and strong by the start of next season and he will get a big round of applause if he were to appear at Buxton in the future. Excellent ride by Chris to hit the front in Ht 7 and then 4 good laps to take the win. Deserved place in Ht 15 as he rode excellently and put in by far his best performance at Hi-Edge this season - Well done Chris.

Main man, Martin got as far as the 4th bend and then he was involved in a crash with another rider. Sadly, he had a trip in the county ambulance to end his day. Hope he has a speedy and full recovery from his injury and will be back on a bike by the start of next season. Congrats to the other 11 riders for getting on with the rest of the meeting in quick time without any messing about as we lost well over an hour as Martin was treated then transferred. Well done to the fans for sticking with it, they were rewarded for their patience with some quality racing when we got started again.

I think cost is the main reason why people don't watch anymore. Fuel has increase to stupid levels and added to admission prices, it is a costly evening out. Some people have stopped going to meetings as they have 'fallen out of love' with the sport and the way it is run and the way they are treated at some tracks.

It was hard to read that Buxton may not appear next season as it would be their 20th season and that in itself is something to be celebrated. Only the hard work of a small band of people has ensured that the club has got this far, I only hope that it can continue well into the future. Every club has its hard times and long-time adversaries Mildenhall know this from bitter experience, currently they are enjoying some good.

It will all depend on whether they are a 'glory-hunting' promotion or not (as in making changes nearly every week just because someone has a couple of low scores). The kid is only going to get better when he gains experience and the only way to do that is to race. He won't improve by sitting on his backside and watching.

Bad news that Rob is out for the season. His leg looked a mess on Sunday and hopefully the op goes well. Wishing Rob a speedy recovery and maybe see him again next season.

The track itself doesn't have a postcode, I think the nearest is SK17 0RW which is Stoop Farm (a little further along the road) This only works if you come from the A53 Leek to Buxton road.

I did let Brad know after the meeting that he had ridden well. The speed will come with experience but he showed he had the control of the bike to get round a track in differing conditions, able to cope with grippy and slick. Disappointing thing was that some of the Rye House riders seemed more intent on arguing with the start marshal rather than racing.
-
Mysticbob, are you related to Graham in the box? He announced that young Brad Tokley would finish third in a race even before it had started!!
-
Hooper, hope the result of the 18th will be that Mikey is progressing well and he will be back soon. My bruises have gone form where you 'hit' me after Mikey crashed See you tomorrow.
-
Chris still has a lot to ride for. If his performances are such then he may make it hard to drop him or he puts himself in the shop window when another 3.00 place come available.
-
No probs Vog. Richard's injury went under the radar a little with so many call-offs etc. but Chris was coming in for Mikey before and now Charles has returned to the Buxton fold.
-
Richard Andrews who is injured. Chris Widman is covering while Mikey Neale is out. Welcome back (again) Charles.
