  1. How are Scunthorpe going to get Poles and Aussies into the NL - Poole don't do British riders Great to see Scunthorpe back in the NL
  2. your promotors playing Fantasy League Speedway again maybe one day you will bring on one of your own Great to see Liam is back at Buxton. If Matt wants to ride elsewhere, that's up to him.
  3. Andy, the website is no longer run by anyone connected to Buxton so the one who does it now only has an interest when he is supplied with info/press release.
  4. As Buxton's main two press outlets are both weekly publications, the team used to be announced over seven weeks so as something appeared each week rather than speedway appearing one week (if all 7 were released in one go) and then nothing until the first meeting in April. Announcement of riders are down to the promotion and Jayne will let us know when she is good and ready.
  5. It would be 3 from 3 as Adam has retired. At the moment there are doubts about all of them for differing reasons but all would be welcome (and do excellent jobs) at Buxton
  6. About the only place that Byron could find a team place in the NL is at Buxton and he generally rides the track well. He'd be a good signing if he is fit enough to return, which we all hope is the case.
  7. BW, on the contrary I know the PR in the fairly recent past was very good. If the whole team was announced tomorrow, in a couple of weeks time you'd be complaining that there was no news - you'd never be satisfied. I know there are some people who wish you'd 'stick to Belle Vue' and stop posting on Buxton threads.
  8. Islander15 - I agree with you about Liam and that would be a good team especially at home. We will have to wait to see who Mrs Moss has actually signed.
  9. I think Buxton would be too far for Danny to ride as a home track as he lives on the south coast.
  10. Liam was excellent for the Hitmen last season and all of the Buxton supporters hope that can return in 2014. As you said, it will benefit him to race in both leagues and the difference in 'home' tracks will only serve to boost his speedway education. I'd like to see Michael Neale at reserve alongside Adam Extance. Mikey came on a lot last year and deserves a chance in the NL.
  11. On Adam's Facebook page and in the Star (I think)
  12. Vog, that would be a decent team but I think Charles is a non-starter in the NL as he has a PL place. No too sure about a return for Gareth but, as you said, he has history around Buxton.
  13. LifeIsSpeedway - I agree with you, Liam would have been the first of the 2013 team that I would have tried to sign up. As it hasn't been mentioned on this thread, welcome to Buxton's first signing to be announced - Adam Extance. Good luck to Matt Williamson has been offered a reserves spot at Scunthorpe in the Premier League so may not be back at Buxton.
  14. I think it's called 'vested interest'. Until things are really desperate, they won't change. During it's existence the NL (Conference, Div 3, Amateur League) has always been an afterthought. I know that the league hasn't helped itself at times but clubs with different agenda's means things will never be sorted. Riders will ride for certain teams and not others - some drive past their nearest track to get to their 'home' track.
  15. Greyhoundp, the way your promotion are heading then you'd better get ready for guaranteed big home wins every week. I think your support will stand up and not drift away as it did at Glasgow some years ago when they steam-rollered the PL two years running.
  16. God, aren't you so far up yourself just because you won the league last year. 'Amazing isn't it? No sooner do we revert to the Cradley name than the authorities try to find ways of blocking our team building plans. Deja Vu! We were the team they invented points limits for.' They are letting you build your team first and the rest will make theirs up from the riders that are left. For those who have been around the NL longer than Dudley, it is Mildenhall all over again.
  17. The things is that Adam hasn't been having 'hard and pointless higher level appearances'. I don't think he will learn anything by beating lesser able riders by half a lap while shutting off before the chequered flag. Yes, it's great to see talented riders like Adam but why ride in the NL just for the sake of it, his ambition should keep him moving up rather than holding back?
  18. Despite only racing one season, Adam is way too good for the NL. He needs to push himself on at a higher level rather than spending money to compete at the lower level (unless he signed for Cradley )
  19. Surprised that this hasn't been on here by now. - Dudley won't be in the fixtures for 2014. Ok, suspense over, the Heathens will be back as Cradley.
  20. Quite interesting that Manchester lad Worrell goes to Swindon and Reade (from the Swindon area) goes to Belle Vue.
  21. What a joke. Some of these riders are barely good enough for the Premier League let alone the 'Elite' League.
  22. I thought that Steve Day and Scotty Nic were a 100x better than Pearson and his nodding dog of a co-commentator. I'm one of those people who doesn't think that commentators shouting makes it more exciting.
  23. I was thinking more of the 12+1 from the No 1 race jacket. It was always going to be difficult for Buxton as they had to put a lot of effort into the 1st meeting and losing that point to the IOW might have deflated them a little (rather like Lee Smart's back tyre when he was about to win Heat 12).
  24. As opposed to the defeat to Dudley where the home side lost it rather than the visitors winning it, Stoke were always the better team and deserved their win on the day. It would have been interesting to have seen Stoke's declared 1-7 in action as there may have been a different result. Good to see that Mr Vasey hasn't lost his comedic tendancies as he was jumping up and down as Ben Morley beat Wooley & Williamson in Heat 8!!!
  25. Thought Steve Worrall was declared in Kings Lynn's team? Maybe Smarty will go to Buxton, he rides the track very well.
