Witches V Rebels Lc 3/4/14
Bezza replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
49-41 for me but much depends on the guest for Morris who I assume will be riding for Swindon -
Neil, Re: Fixtures, When you say shortly are we talking in the next week? Regards Bezza

I could'nt agree more. It may have something to do with a sequence of opposition from the foot of the table but even with the glorius summer and additional head cound via the "kids in free" we still had some processional racing and real lack of dominance in our performances, none more so than our play off match when the Witches just never got going on the night! Am not fussed with teh 16 Lapper to be honest. In view of the injuries, I would prefer to see a best pairs, 3TT or 4TT meeting and including Kings Lynn and Rye House riders. Maybe young Lambert could put in an appearance.
-
Just looking further ahead, I don't foresee the Witches management waiting until 24th October to stage the 16 Lapper and our final fix of the year. I reckon they will bring this forward as opposed to find a meaningless challenge fixture.
-
No - because it was another meeting that passed by without a great deal of racing or incident to talk of - you do need two teams to make a meeting and only one turned up! Take nothing away from the Witches performance, they all rode well and scoring freely and of course it's another 3 more points for the witches as we head to the summit of the league.

Ipswich Vs Berwick Thursday August 1st 7.30pm
Bezza replied to CardinalSin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That was a shocker of a meeting! Two poor meetings - two weeks running! Shame cos it was another excellent crowd (swelled by a good Berwick contingent). Gotta sort that track out though it was similar to last week, with far too much dirt (grip) for this level of racing. It got better after heat 8 but to see riders in the early heats give up once they got to the first bend was quite frankly taking the P.. On the plus side, the witches are looking strong all the way down order - play offs here we come!! -
Gb V Australia - Ipswich 30th May
Bezza replied to 2ndbendbeerhut's topic in International World of Speedway
I reckon this could be a good meeting. Both sides will want to get the series off with a win and the line-ups (whilst subject to change) look fairly even to me. With it being half term a kids go free option with paying adult perhaps should have been the way to go! -

Any thoughts on the crowd attendance this year - over or under 40,000? -
So where is Dakota North off to... He was one of the best riders in the league towards the back end of last season?
-
I personally thought it was one of the better meetings at Foxhall this year, it was evedent both teams went out for the win right from the very first heat. The Risager/Poole pairing probably needs looking at but otherwise the rest of the Witches all rode well. Edinburgh surprised me to be honest, I said before the meeting we would get 55pts. Ipswich will need to hit Edinburgh early tonight if we are to grab the all important away win and a chance of grabbing the final Play Off place. Bez

Rye House V Ipswich (pl)... 1st September @ 6pm
Bezza replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Calling Ipswich fans. I may try and get up to Rye tomorrow. What's the best route A12/M25 A10 or Turn off at Chelmsford and go via Harlow? Cheers Bezza -
Out of interest, i assume you can just turn up and pay on the day for the Golden Helmet. Have not got a clue what sort of crowds turn up for th U21 and Golden Helmet meetings. Also, are they both afternoon meetings? If anyone can let us know that would be great. I shall probably look to commute from Prague - does not look to painful with a frequent service. Await to hear MB

I agree with the above post. Many supporters will want to know the team before committing to the season ticket (£300) Ipswich will need to get the team out by the weekend if they wish to maximise the opportunity for season tickets sales leading up to Xmas.

Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups
Bezza replied to Ben Alderton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I cant believe that the Russians are plannning on using the Lagutas and Emil for race off and final I hope that BSI/FIM block them from riding in the event at all this season. Surely, with the team they have currently declared, the Czechs will push them into 4th and ultimately no place in the Run Off? Bezza. -
Sounds like a great meeting, out of interest did Rickardsson roll back the years? Cheers Bezza

Is anyone filming this meeting for us folks here to watch on DVD in the UK? Regards Bezza.

Does anyone have any more news on the Torun round? I did hear that it was provisionally scheduled for early July but I'll wait for formal confirmation before I go booking my holidays around it... Cheers Bezza -
