But in this case, there are no morbid details whatsoever. That's the difference. The reality is here, and we all know it, if a rider truly has some genuinely terrible news that rules him out for personal reasons, an honest club, and a rider with some stones, would actually say something a damn sight more truthful than this lot.
-
You'll probably have a sick note for the other one anyway..
-
Thanks for your lovely help - so looking back at whats happened in the last few days, we're no further on. North says he knows nothing, but Starman says North knows everything.. Cheating it is then. Thought so.
-
Excuse me.. i've been out of the country at my fathers funeral - i kept no track of speedway or the going ons with this forum. I'll be honest, i dont even know the score of the second leg, but i assumed Poole won. I'm back in London now, and i'd like to be caught up - is that such a problem ?
-
I'm simply asking... I was castigated by a fair few last week, just wanted to see if there was any update... Cheats should never prosper...so THAT'S why i'm keeping on about it..
-
Evening all.. been out of the country for a few days.. Not had the time to trawl back thru the thread, but i assume North and his corrupt cronies have set the story straight regarding the hand and nerve injury situation have they ? - cant be good to have inaccurate info floating around i wouldnt have thought.. Any info much appreciated.....

Ahh, you're referring to the post where i made a cheeky remark about John Louis whilst posting to a former editor of the speedway mail on another thread where he was annoyed at not getting any response from Ipswich fans wasn't it ? The post i made to try and stop another listee from being disillusioned with the forum by encouraging him ? Did you contribute on that ? or were you one of the listees he was taking a swipe at ? Anyway, can you drop me a line privately if you want to carry on this boring side track about grammar, and i'm also going to be travelling for hours now so wont be able to reply to this thread. This is a thread about a match anyway, and this is now NOTHING to do with this thread. Good luck Belle Vue.. -

No, approaching 40. Started WATCHING as a teen... Jeez.... Has Starman been giving you reading lessons ? And i don't read the Speedway Star if thats the press you're referring to.. This has seemed to touch a nerve with a few of you hasn't it... sorry about that.. -

Woah woah woah.... My NICKNAME is on here has the word doctor in it... I have NEVER professed to be a doctor. I also don't know how you got promoter from my last post - i've been within the sport for 25 years...fan and other positions.. definitely not a speedway star seller tho, so you've got one up on me there :-) -

Erm, i assume the update you're referring to is mine ? What Poole past do i have ? I don't have any particular axe to grind with anyone unless they're doing wrong...its obviously just a co-incidence that you lot seem to be involved with so much wrongdoing. Through my not being a friggin numpty like so many on here, my 25+ years in the sport have left me with network of friends and workmates high high up within the sport. I can't help that i'm afraid.. I also have plenty of stories to tell, including some of Messrs Ford and Middleditch, but i'll save them for a rainy day. -
I've had two reasonably positive posts about me now.. if this is all wrong i'll be furious!! I actually still want this to be duff info, but the longer the silence is, it makes me think its more and more likely to be something close to the truth.
-
Perhaps because it stinks to high heaven, and could be construed as cheating.. ? Just a thought..
-
But by that logic why tell us how long the friggin operation was ? That's none of our business either. If we'd been told that due to a serious accident to his father, North Jnr was going home to be with him, a helluva lot of people would have accepted that. It's the inconsistency here that has buggered it all up for them.
-
Unless it was Peter Oakes who told me of course... The confidentiality issue here was significantly watered down when they seemed happy enough to release the operation length as some kind of indicator of how serious the injuries were. They cant have it both ways.
-
Well, Trees has just done that and got diddly from him - what's do you suggest next ?
-
I said well placed source. There's a difference. And as i said before, i really hope its not true. I still cant understand why they even brought up the length of the operation as some kind of justification in their statements. Unless of course, it was to suit them and their agenda - i broke my back in 2000 and needed a one hour operation - if i was riding for Poole, would Ford have mentioned the injury or the operation length ?

Did you sing the anthem when you were on the rostrum Rob ? -
Part of me actually hopes my info is wrong.. Hope your mum has mended without any aggro.
-
Exactly.. and if according to the earlier poster who thinks that North and his family could be reading this thread, i guess we could now actually see if that's true or not.. If my info is wrong, i'm sure North or one of his team will be happy to straighten things out.. Either way, i hope Mr North Snr is recovering well.
-
Nothing, nothing at all. Other than the things i said in my post. Simply passing it on. Sorry if wasn't what you wanted to hear.
-
My information from a well placed source is making reference to a hand / nerve injury for Mr North Snr. It would tally up for the long operation, but certainly not worthy of a son taking a week off work.
-
I saw this thread on the day it was created, but with me being mid 30s, i had clearly nothing to add. Look at the folks on this forum who chip in regularly...most will have nothing to say that would be any kind of use to you about John Louis. Thats not to slag off any particular group, its simply a fact of life. I seriously doubt that any of the folk you aim your rant at would even be of the age or brain power to contribute to what will no doubt be an excellent read, no matter how much feedback you get from the bsf. I know zilch about John Louis, But i do know, as a young lad in 1990 taking my first steps in the sport, with you as editor, the Speedway Mail was a big part of me falling in love with the sport. And i thank you for that. Screw John Louis

Exactly. Just leave it out John...just this once eh ? When the speedway world is uniting, how about you just be part of it rather than appearing yet again as the bad egg. I'm very much not a fan of Darcy Ward the rider, but am sickened by the images i saw as i left work this morning. Truly awful. Hope the bloke is getting exactly what he needs healthcare wise to give him the best chance possible. -
